lol, weren't you claiming that inverter AC is a gimmick a year or two ago and it saves no money, you old conventional general ac gives better cooling and savings.

Korean and japanese brands put genuine EER figures while chinese and local brands like gree, orient, haier print what ever bullshit they want.

Try to understand the logic here. 1.5 ton had to work harder and consume more power. If it was under capacitated then by that logic 2 ton should have consumed equal or higher power. The 2nd point is that 1.5 ton never tripped specially at night which made me wonder while a t3 inverter easily stays at 2-3 amps

Your 1.5 ton might have had some issue. My Gree 1.5 ton that is installed in 3 marla hall on top floor used to trip when set to 28C I tested two weeks back.

Was taking around 1800W at start then fell down to almost 1300W within 40 mins that too when temp. was set to 16°C

how self cleaning works? does it have some nozzles to wash its fins then air dry it?

No it doesn't have any nozzles.
I just went through the manual a bit and found out it just cleans the evaporator. You press the self clean button and it takes around 30 mins to clean it, it uses humidity etc to frost and defrost it hence self cleaning.

I got my ac installed today. Later got it vaccumed by shakir and started the AC after releasing gas. There is some odd smell inside room. Shakir says there is no leakages and if there was leakage then it should have been outside. What could be the smell? It is throwing cold air and all feels normal except the smell

The room size is 13' x 15' x 10'. The room is located on ground floor over which there is another flat. The room is fully under shade and not exposed to sun. Even during day outer unit is under shade. The outside temperature was 29C during night and 34C during day in Jhelum.

The company claims it is upto 60% energy saving with EER of 4.0.

I think there is some issue, could be refrigerant, installation or some other issue. Get it checked.

At this basic temperature, it should not really be pushing that hard.

At that temperature, it should be consuming 2-3A max.

I set the temp to 26, it started with 7.8amps and then slowly came down to 3 amps. Then i set it to 29 just to check and amps went 0.8

At 29 the ac detected a very low room temp as compared to what you set so it tripped. Thats why current went below 1. This is normal.

Dont raise temperature, find a temp u like and keep it at that. Going from 26 to 29 on remote will trip Ac if temp has been maintained at 26.

Plus the temperature displayed on ac is not correcth its ambient. Use the i feel button if u have one or get a thermometer to check room temp.
