This is serious issue and get it checked ASAP. Keep AC off until then.

Check amperes with clamp meter.
Stays Within 10A - AC ok and breaker fault probably
Staying more than 10-20A, short somewhere within wires or AC system or overcharged AC system.

Are AC wires getting hot? (Possible sign of higher than normal current, if you don't have clamp meter to check).

1.5T AC should not take more than 8-10A (exact maximum rated A mentioned on model).

Breaker trips mostly on current exceeding its capacity or short circuit or if the breaker is faulty (tripping earlier than it should).

I've called in the original installer, but I don't think he'll be here before Eid, which is why I'm asking here. I'll get an electrician to check this out tomorrow.

Wires are not running hot, but the breaker gets hot when it trips.

Are clamp meters easily available from hardware shots? I'm in Lahore.

Room temperature sensing unit (whatever it is) on cooling coil is dis-placed during service of indoor cooling coil cleaning. It needs readjustment. Even new units sometimes suffer this.

My Orient Inverter and Conventional Changhong Ruba working fine with 45+ temperature these days.

Clamp meter are available for ~600-800/-everywhere at electric tools and equipment shops. But it needs to be connected to circuit breaker wires, which is tricky for new person and could be risky as well. Electricians have that and he must bring one as well.

It's a fire hazard, so keep AC off until then. Probably faulty breaker, as if AC were running at such high amps 10-20A, ac would have been roasted by now.

Pakwheelers can never make wrong decisions, so ofcourse all of their T1 ACs will work excellent even at 55C someday. No doubt about it.

Non T3 AC work reasonably fine on hotter days, but with decreased cooling and much higher amperage than T3 models.

If T3 consumes 4A, T1 would be working hard at 6-8A during peak temperature day.

Is it acceptable to use heavy duty piston compressor of AC for vacuuming if we don't have proper vacuum pump? Vacuuming with it seemed much powerful than fridge compressor vacuuming and it even sucked in the car ac rubber pipes and showed ~30 vacuum reading.

Same pump was used on split installation and car ac gas charge with 2 hours of vacuum.

Empty cylinder was also vacuumed for 15 minutes before filling gas in it from shop.

Is that refrigerant jannati too?

a compressor is a "pressure pump" not a "vacuum pump" - dont confuse either on its job. - Use a proper 2 stage vacuum pump to vacuum out a lineset, whether its car or home.

Vacuum boils off moisture in a hurry and using a compressor to do this is like trying to boil a litre of water with a cigarette lighter. - Use a proper 5cfm vacuum pump with proper vacuum pump oil.

and if you reached 30 in of mercury vacuum on planet earth you are God/Allah - All should sajda to you.

I bought 2 1 ton inverter units of dawlance 3 years before. Installation was done properly after vacuuming the lines. I have to repair both in every season, bad quality coils, reverse volve failure, kit failure and what not. Now I removed them in fovour of my 8 years old Mitsubishi Mr Slim conventional model and I'm happy with that. Dawlance is good on paper but it has bad quality components and poor worksmanship.
I chose Gree for office and all 8 units are working fine even in 47C.
I know T3 are better on paper but I chose Gree because they are specialized in HVAC, they design their own compressors and components. Dawlance, PEL etc are just assemblers, they source cheap parts from different vendors and, assemble and put their logo on that. There is no R & D involved.

You should then be choosing nonetheless than Carrier or Daikin The absolute boss of A/C systems. Be sitting down on a chair when pricing them out.

btw - your installer used a real vacuum pump or "purged" the lines? - some installers call purging as vacuuming. I have also heard that installers think that vacuuming means vacuum cleaning the lines LOL

Sir I have to see budget as well. I got 2 floor standing gree units of 4800 btu as outer was 120 feet obove, each one costed me 300k and above 50k for installation. Alternative was 2 split units of 2 ton and 100k could be saved but for them outer should not be more than 15m above. I never compromised on installation, line were vacumed and additional refregrent was charged by weight and in lequid form.

For others benifit previously I introduced Shakir, installer having vacuum pump in Lahore but he is just an ordinary installer without any knowledge.

Whoever the installer is, you have to take pain make sure that they vacuum lines properly, vecume should hold, needle remains below negative which is good indication that there is no leak( nitrogen leak test is most appropriate ), charge by weight if additional pipe is used or system is empty. 410a is trapezoid so make sue they charge with cylinder upside down with diffuser in line.

Its a hall of 8 marla plaza dont have exact figures right now, 6 ton capacity is used for that hall. 1 floor standing of 4 ton and one 2 ton split.
Then 1 4 ton floor standing for mezzanine floor which in 30% less in area of above floor.
So far everything is working as expected.
