Yes gas leakage problems after 1 season
Orient was worst because I did claimed warranty and they fixed it but as soon as warranty period ended AC again started having problems and then they charged me 18k to fix it but it didn't quite worked as it used to and had to sell it out for 11k.
Though my haier one is doing its second season. It also had leakage problem as soon as warranty ended and this time I got it fixed from our AC guy and so far its working fine

Same was problem with kenwood
Its inverter card had an issue after 2 years and every AC technician said it's useless now as these cards aren't available in market

Need recommendation for 1.5 Ton Inverter ACs. Gree FITH or TCL Miracle? Gree's outer unit is large and has a bigger condenser which provides much larger heat exchange area and will therefore be more efficient. Already have 3 Gree CITH series ACs and don't have any complaint. TCL just looks better aesthetically and have read good reviews here about its performance too.

Any input would be much appreciated.

TCL is a proper brand, worldwide products available. They don't do do numbri like PAK brands Orient, kenwood, dawlance, haier etc., which import cheap Chinese stuff then slap their own labels on it.

TCL, HiSense, these are authentic good quality Chinese brands.

Dawlance, Haier, Orient, Kenwood are do numberi Chinese. PAK assemblers who import cheap stuff and slap their own labels.

TCL, HiSense, Gree, Changhong are original, high quality Chinese brands. They don't slap labels, they manufacture their own stuff.

I tend to agree. TCL is on way to give Samsung run for its money in LCD/LED TV segment. Kenwood I believe is a better brand. I have an AC (non inv) and front loader washer from Kenwood. Both are working fine 5th year in a row. Dawlance isn't Turkish? Haier by far has been the worse of all chinese brands I have come across. Total crap.

i think the most practical approach is to buy the product that has got good reviews regardless of brand n all.
if the unit is working fine without complaints for longer period of time and at least have some after sales service, then shortlist those products and then go for what your gut says. this is how it works for me. we are not gonna be sure which thing will work for me. i at least go with this approach. and the major issue here in pakistan we have is that we don't have any separate product review platform.
i thinnk kenwood esmart has got very good reviews since 2 years, and sharp jtech cool only model has also got good reviews on pakref (being sold by them, so looks obvious).

Exactly. We don't have that much bigger online stores like Amazon where you can have a fair idea about the product just on the basis of reviews. Here websites don't provide such platforms and where they do provide, we don't have culture of writing honest, detailed reviews. So that's pretty much that.

Yeah I agree we dont have any separate platform for electronics review, we either go with ACs that our friends or relatives have and rely upon their suggestions or either we go for the brand we like.
So now this time I just went out of the box and chose hisense due to its 2 years warranty. Just got it delivered
Now waiting for the technician to install it so I could post a little review here for others

Any of the brands can last several seasons, or also just die in a single season.. people have dawlance running fine for years... same for kenwood.. while some fail in a single year.

Most of the inverter units from all the brands are pretty much similar in terms of cooling and energy costs. E.g. a full dc from one brand will have similar output as other fulldc brands. All T3s too will be in the same performance range, no noticeable difference in cooling or cooling cost. All luck when a particular model fails. But I tend to think that brands like TCL will have some higher quality control procedures.

i was also inclined towards TCL. its full DC, with T3 compressor and esp because of its price. with these features all other brands are priced 90k or 100k plus.
but no enough reviews to pull the trigger.
i hope to see more reviews.
i need 1 ton AC but no brand i think is selling T3, full DC in 1 ton category.

did you buy it from hisense directly or some dealer???
so hisense has 2 years PCB warranty, but what about parts warranty and compressor warranty??

I believe there is no full DC or half DC. Its just a marketing ploy. The main difference in inverter vs non inverter is VFD(Variable Frequency Drive) that keeps compressor RPMs in an optimal band, unlike fixed speed compressors.

its not just only compressor. most inverters are having only their compressor running on DC current and yeah some compressor tweaks like VFD, twin rotary or say dual inverter and 8 pole technololgy. but what about its inner blower, outer fan, and blade swing motor. i think full DC inverters are having almost 5 of its being run on DC current. in this way, it consumes less energy and saves.

No I bought it online through a dealer, price tag on packaging from company was 73,900 I got it for 68k
2 years parts warranty including PCB and 10 years compressor warranty

So here's my short initial review on product
It basically works like other ACs however I can say that the quality of both indoor and outdoor unit is way better compared to my Haier AC. I've never focused on an ACs remote but this Ac's remote was heavy and felt of good quality.
Cooling wise it did a really good job. Chilled the room within 10 minutes even though my room faces harsh sunlight for straight 9 hours!
So far so good just wishing that this one lasts for more than a season!

like model no. compressor type like t1 or t3, is it full DC, is it heat n cool, do share the specs pic on inner and outer model.
