No. Its not. There must be some issue!

Impossible! My 16,000 btu Gree consumes only 4 units using for 8 hours at night. Peaks at 7-8 amps and then stabilizes at 0-1 amps thru the night

So now it's sure that the meter is the culprit! Will change it asap

Before running the AC, the readings on the meter were 2536 and after two days of running for almost 9 hours the reading is 2773.
2773 - 2536 = 237 units. Divide 237 by 2 for two days running = 118.5 units per 9 hours!
The meter is connected only with the AC, there is no other load on the meter.

Definitely the meter. Install an amp meter with your AC and you will be doubly sure how much electricity the AC is consuming.

Also let us know the result when you replace the meter pls

Hi,

I bought a digital amp meter to attach to my Inverter AC to chk the amps but when the ac is switched on the meter goes blank. I was told that we need to fit some coil / shunt to the meter. Can anyone explian here. @ashaina? I saw that you have installed one to your AC.

Connect it to the live wire (Red wire). Or you can simply connect it to the breaker of that AC.
