I recently bought 2 invertech orient ACs. Not the one they are showing in the ad. The one in the ad is the prime series which have been introduced just recently. The shopkeepers do not had any feedback about this model and most of them said that the BTUs are less than 18000.
Orient has also reduced the prices on the invertech series (the old one which has been in the market for quite sometime now) to 64k and the shopkeepers are easily giving them away for 59k after a discount. All the shopkeepers I went to receommended invertech over prime series dc inverter because they didnt had any feedback about the newest model from the customers.
Moreover, on the invertech series, its written 19000 BTU whereas on the prime series model, I didnt find any BTUs written on it. However, orient claims its 18000 whereas shopkeepers say its less than that. If its really 18000, why not write it on the AC itself like its written 19000 on the invertech series.
You can get the prime series model for 56k (after discount) and invertech series for 59k(after discount). The price difference is only 3k between the two models but I would recommend you should go for the old ones.
People say that Gree is better but the price difference after price reduction by orient is too much. If it was orient vs. mitsubishi or samsung or panasonic or acson, i would have thought over the other, but Gree is made in china too, i dont think there wont be much difference between Gree's and Orient's performance. But the price difference is too much. So choose wisely.
