In theory yes, real time implications will probably be none to negligible (COP wise). There is an experimental study on this too. More pressing issues are ethical / legal constraints. Releasing just one gram of R410A into atmosphere is equivalent of releasing around 2.1 Kilos of CO2 (GWP). This may not be an issue here but in countries with stringent regulations, you'd probably have your license cancelled.

Eco mode of Elite series is not like gen mode of miracle series. Gen mode gives 3 current options to choose from. While in Eco mode of Elite series, current is limited to 4.5A max which starts dropping when room temperature drops.

yes. even in the kenwood 1838 manual it was written same. for r22 based ac, purging method was given,

for r410, vaccum method was given

LG dual inverter AC CH 26 error

I am using this AC for more then two months it was working fine before two weeks then it started giving error CH 26 and no cooling happens . During daytime when sunlight falls on outdoor unit the outer fan and compressor start running after 2-3 failed attempts ( when fail then outer fan starts and turn off after 10-15 seconds , same happens after every three minutes for 5 times then error display on indoor ) . When starts cooling it may work trouble free untill turned off in evening,night or electricity load shedding but then it don't start cooling as there isn't sunlight anymore on outdoor unit . I called LG guys they checked and blamed voltage issue which is around 205 mostly ,anyway I called electrician and put AC line to maximum voltage phase now it is 230v mostly but it didn't effect anyway . I called other guy he tried to give ground to AC and charged gas to 220 but it didn't fix either . Now I called LG again and waiting for their Rawalpindi team to come and check other sensors ,PCB etc . Please guide about this issue , possibilities and if somebody know any qualified technician in Islamabad Rawalpindi who has experience of fixing such errors.

Fault Code 26
This fault indicates a problem with the positioning system of the inverter compressor, which indicates a seized
compressor.
Firstly check the compressor is correctly connected. Next reset the power supply to the system ensuring the
power is left off for 5 minutes. Start the unit up, after a couple of minutes the compressor will try and start, you
can hear a high pitched whine when it does. If the compressor does not start turning within a couple of
seconds the whining will stop. The compressor will try to start 3 times then the fault will recur

Well this is the error but I need someone good enough to check proper way . There are very less guys who can check inverters properly

i dont get it, its a new AC within warranty right? So contact LG and get it fixed.

Yes new AC . I wrote above story of first checkup by LG guys and their findings which is poor diagnosis just blaming voltage issue which is around 205-210 . I have experience inverters working fine around 185V . Anyway I complained again and spoke to same guy he said he will discuss issue with his senior and come again . Now I am waiting for three days they didn't come yet maybe bcoz of rain clouds in islamabad.
do somebody guess or know this day night effect . AC starts cooling in day when sunlight falls on outdoor but don't cool in evening night when less temperature outside .

Another AC technician now saying it is humidity effect on PCB so get PCB checked .
Earlier I thought maybe outdoor temperature sensor is faulty so I tried to increase temperature around sensor with heat gun but it wasn't successful too . Now thinking to get indoor temperature sensor checked with some bulb heat effect

It seems to me that its low on refrigerant. can you see icing on indoor coils?

No icing but water moisture on both pipes . Gas was 110 so they charged to make it 120 but that didn't help . Today LG team checked again in detail but no success so they finally took with them outdoor PCB and a sensor for checking . They will inform on Monday .

Wasn't expecting such shit quality from Samdung.
Just 2 months old AC developed a weird problem that even several technicians were unable to understand. They should change your AC instead of doing jugaars now and apologise for causing inconvenience. But it's Pakistan.... Even if they change that AC they would dump that to someone else after refurbishing and repacking and charge the same amount like new.
