Alright. But will the prices for air conditioners come down once supply chain for copper gets better?

Highly unlikely. Because anything that gets expensive in pakistan it stays expensive no matter how cheap the raw material gets. I mean who would lower prices when people were already buying at high prices before. So the crookery continues.

it jumped to 100,000. and now its selling at 130,000.

Prices are upwards sticky everywhere. but the competition in the ac space is quite intense and prices have come down ... Compare dollar prices v dollar prices, itna farq nhi hai ..
*even though rupee has strengthened by something around 7-8 % in the past couple of months, commodities prices are at their decade highs
The sad part is almost everything "made" in pakistan, is just mostly assembled in pakistan. Value added within the country is low so we are very sensitive to PKR:USD & commodity prices .

When commodity prices do come down, manufacturers might not reduce sticker prices but offer incentives like seasonal discounts or free installation etc because of competition in the sector.

Does anyone here have a contact of a technician that works with a proper vacuum pump and doesn't waste my time explaining that I don't need to vacuum?

Will need it in Karachi.

I've tried everything I got. Called a ton of numbers given to me by nice people here. Sadly, all the technicians are illiterate and are against vacuuming.

If all should fail, I might have to invest in a vacuum pump and get it done myself.

All the technicians lose their minds when I mention vacuuming the AC.

All are fixed on “purging” which is not the most efficient method out there, not only it won't do anything, it will not do ANYTHING.

I got my AC's installation done through the company agency technician (from Daikin). I think they also work for other brands independently. I will share number here and you can try if they will help you out on this.

My installation: Around 15-20 mins vacuuming the lines on the Inner unit.

yes all daikin techs always do vacuuming. Where are these two guys located?

Same guy. One is his personal cell phone and other the company landline.

So after unable to find someone good enough..... i called an AC technician in my area for the work.... He serviced the inner, charged the Gas, welded the cooling coils in inner (100% sure he has lied about this) .... Ac worked good first few days... Now in the 6th day, its acting weird.... After switching it on the outer starts after around 5mins... Then at 28, no cooling happens (compressor running)... I chnge to 24, cooling starts but not like of 24C... Then room cools enough so one by one i put temp to 28C, and cooling is maintained....
Now on 7th day its more weird... I started on 20, cooling happens but not like 20... Then i dropped to 24.... Compressor shuts off and On again with a gap of 30secs, then no cooling happens... Then again i change to 20C and cooling starts....smjh nhi araha wtf has he done to it.

I m telling all this out of anger here because i m pissed at what that idiot technician may hav done to it

Did he dismantle and pressure wash the indoor unit?

No icing on inner unit..... When is the right time to see this though?

He had taken the unit to his shop... Most probably he would have pressure washed... Is it bad or good?

2yrs ago the inner was pressure washed with portable washer, but there was no issue till now.

How long does charging gas take? Cause he did that very quickly, within 2 3 mins.. maybe gas was not fully charged

What brand inverter are you using? Did you call the company to raise a complaint?
