Hello guys.
So as you might know that I bought a Gree Pular series (no Wifi) model 1.5 ton. I bought it through EcoStar’s website, which makes it an online order, however, it took them almost 10+ days to deliver it to my house and that was a struggle on its own.
Moving forward, upon the delivery day, I immediately placed a call at their service center to avail the installation of the aforementioned AC, however, to my surprise, they weren't offering ANY services at that time of that sort, and they openly told me to look for a technician in my locality.
This was surprising to me as the warranty voids if an unauthorized technician touches the unit.
However, after trials and errors, I realized that EcoStar isn't going to help me in this regard. Even their call center made ignorant remarks when I demanded a vacuum pump to be brought by.
After wasting almost a month and trying out all the numbers given to me by nice people here - seeing all this not being worked out in my favor, I even came too far to invest in a vacuum pump myself. Well, almost, that didn't happen.
Moving on, a day before yesterday, I emailed Haier & Dawlance asking whether they’d install ACs of other brands - explaining how helpless I was.
Luckily, Dawlance picked up my email and called me promptly after an hour, discussing all the matters that I had asked for.
“Do you have the vacuum pump that I asked for?”
Dawlance: “Yes, we are Dawlance, we’re different from local technicians.”
Not only they ringed their technicians to come by on the same date but they had everything that I had asked for. This was surprising to me.
The technician was well-aware of the installation procedure & had brought a vacuum pump and not a jugaared fridge compressor one.
The whole installation procedure took about 2-3 hours with vacuuming done for almost 20 minutes.
An after vacuum leak test - hope I'm saying it right - was conducted and there were no issues.
We ended up changing the silver pipes that come with Gree ACs to copper pipes in the meantime.
Charged 3,000 for installation. Which was nothing.
I’d love to attach pictures here but clicking that cursed “attach” button causes the app to crash.
So, Dawlance was nice enough to help me out with that without the slightest arguing, unlike Gree.
