the prices dont add up...

in case of gas leakage, not necessarily all gas will leak, if minor leak, it will reduce very slowly.

our company's most recent stock received, 1.5 ton AC compressor Mitsubishi rs 16000, scroll type.

1.5 ton Bristol compressor (piston type) used in window ac / water coolers, 32,000

1/3 hp danfoss r134a fridge compressor rs 12500.

your LG fridge is a 1/4 Hp compressor one. so price will be even less.

you can use any compressor, provided its power rating matches your existing compressor, you will need to do a full flush of the system, jugar way is to fill r134a from one side and exhaust from other side. after flush, compressor will be welded in and vaccum will be pulled before recharging gas by weight.

local shops dont sell new compressors. proper HVAC companies do sell compressors.

if not...kick him out and get 2nd opinion as he looks like replacing compressors for no damn reason...

how did he check compressor? it could just be low refrigerent or something else .....

YES, 1.0 ton not available.
probably then should go for 1.5 ton as 1 ton ac of other brands is close to starts from around 65 to 70k.
tomorrow i will try the card discount thing. lets see

Tight call. Don't know really maybe @SER_GTR can guide better.

Don't be so hasty. There might be low refrigerant causing improper cooling. Happened with my refrigerator as well. It's filter drier developed leak that was fixed.

Get second opinion.

Write an email to all the the AC manufacturers that r410 type inverters require vacuuming and cannot be installed properly with the purging method and ask if they can provide installation with a vacuum pump.

outdoor replacement is also OK as problem is mainly with outdoor unit....just be reluctant to install it with vacuuming...as indoor is used now

install new outdoor vacuum it leak check and open valves......

Changed the compressor from another person. He give a better offer. All work done compressor replaced, gas charged and replaced the dryer in 7000 with old compressor but the previous technician is not returning us the compressor back till now so we have to give 1500 more. More than 15 hours, still no ice formed in freezer and no cold air (smoke in freezer). Don't know whats the problem

Gas leaked again. Probably the evaporator has developed a leak. Compressor was fine. You were ripped.
