That dust layer doesn't move with blower, i tried it too. I think compressed air will be more effective. Also, toothbrush only cleans the outer layer. When dust settles inside the blades of blower, toothbrush won't reach it.

Same is the behaviour of my electrolux ac. It is dc inverter but it trips and when room gets hot it turns on again. It has also got that led for compressor.

Any idea how to remove blower without dismantling whole ac. We need to diy it.

So these aren't really good inverter ACs, I'll just avoid these cheap chinese brands from now on, except for TCL and Gree.

Guys, what's the procedure to clean indoor unit's fins? One of our Gree AC has dirt built-up on indoor fins and it doesn't have self-cleaning feature.

By fins I am assuming inner unit coils.
Remove the indoor cover, remove the louvers to fully expose the indoor unit coils.
Use a blower to remove loose dirt.
Get hold of coil cleaner ( can aerosol form/ liquid form) can be managed from AC equipment ships shops. Spray the coil cleaner on the coil, let it sit and make foam which will clean all the dirt. Wash it with plain water using a spray noozle bottle gently to make sure the fins are not bent. Blow dry.
Alternatively use a mild soapy solution, a tooth brush or a paint brush. Manually clean the fins and clean with water.
Cover the PCB board part with plastic so water doesn't spill over.

AC cleaners remove the indoor unit, wash it and then reinstall it. My room's last AC developed a gas leak after the serviceman reinstalled it. It was only 2 years old AC. I sold it and bought a new one, since then I made a policy of not removing the AC until it dies. After six years, no complaints. Cleaned indoor unit myself, fins with toothbrush and blower with paint brush. Cleaned outdoor unit with pressure washer.

Definitely dont wanna remove the indoor unit. Will take a look at it tomorrow and see if I can clean it myself. Btw, the first time I ran it it smelled bad for few hours, I think there is some kind of buildup on coils. Do coil cleaners get rid of smells as well i.e. are they better than using soap water?

Electrolux is basically Swedish brand.

TCL miracle also trips when outside temperature is 34C plus but starts back at 3A.

their charges in 2018 were 5k. Scroll up and search as @paladin got gree AC installed by dawlance staff and they did very well.
