Any advantage of using sleep mode in terms of electricity saving ?

It makes use of the fact that our body temperature decreases when we sleep. So e.g. when you lie down you are feeling a bit hot so you set the temp to 26 and turn on sleep mode. After one hour it will reduce the set temp to 27 and then after another hour it will reduce the set temp to 28C. After running for 5 hours it will again increase the temp to 27 for one hour and then another degree so that room is nice and cool when you wake up.

The tech I have been using for a while now visited. Checked the gas pressure is at 80psi where as it should be 120-130psi for R410a.
The tech suggests to release all remaining and fill up to 130psi where as I am persistent to find the leak first. In that case they need to take it to the shop

last season, i tried to clean the blower via spraying soapy water to it, but water was dripping from under the AC unit, so i stopped. i will try to remove the cover and will clean the coil with spraying soapy water mixed with vinegar. lets see how it drains out. while regarding blower, it gets dirty way too quickly and its hard to reach and clean. saw a video, where he was removing the blower but i won't risk diy for now.

My AC was not cooling this season, no proper air throw. There was thick layer of dust all over the blower. Wet cleaning without removing blower doesn't work (without destroying your room). What I did was, remove the horizontal louver (very easy to remove) and then rubbed 1 inch paint brush into the blower blades one by one. It took about 40 minutes to fully clean, but the end result was good, air throw fully restored. This method works better when AC is not turned on for some time as wet dust is harder to remove with paint brush than dry dust.

Dear i have cleaned evaporator with the help of spray bottle and teeth brush...
After that i am feeling that its cooling is reduced. Taking more time to maintain temperature than before..........
Where can be a problem....
Not dismantled. No fin was bent....
No icing on pipe and evaporator..... Its haier snf 12 udc model 3 year old.

One more question, does alignment of outdoor matters, i mean what are problems to be faced if outdoor is not leveled?

I hv done the same but i am feeling reduction cooling. May be psychological effect but i am worried that may be some thing went wrong

did the same, but used a tooth brush, and blower at full speed

its simply recharging w.o finding leak...it will leak again....

leaks are always find with pressure inside system so dont get it released till u find leak.....

once leak is fixed then its recharged and checked again for leak

REVIEW: Last year we got Changhong interter ACs, since they were a lot cheaper than Gree and there wasn't any other good brand available e.g. LG, Samsung etc. Cooling/Heating wise its quite decent, however, the remote like all other cheap chinese ACs is cheap looking and not user friendly.

I'm used to setting up a sleep timer on Gree, and it would automatically turn off at 8AM, however, this remote has some weird timer mechanism that I haven't been able to figure out and the manual is not detailed.

Another issue is that Inverters are supposed to slow down a lot so they can maintain optimum temperature, however, this AC doesn't really do that whether in Cooling or Heating mode. It cools/heats upto the temperature than compressor turns off (there is a LED light for it), then when the temperature drops a bit then it turns back on. Its quite annoying and wasn't expecting this from inverter AC.

its actually DC drive Variable compressor which starts and runs and slow down or even shutdown so that light is possibly for that... many inverters do same . and when they start they actually reach to certain amps not full amps....and then slow down/shut when achieved

you can verify that by connecting ampere meter or energy meter

if it always start at full amp and always trip and then always start back at full amp then its fishy ...inverters do shutdown outer but when they start they dont kick to max amps as of very 1st cycle after starting which start from zero and gradually increase upto max amps rated of unit

Can anyone recommend AC technician in Lahore who could find gas leakage at site instead of taking it at shop?

It adjusts compressor speed (verified through ampmeter) but it doesn't slow it down enough to maintain a good temperature and turns compressor off for few mins, then turns on again at full-speed. So doesn't really provide the benefit of a consistent temperature that inverter ACs are also used to provide.

something is def wrong if the unit is unable to lower down amps after attaining certain temps and keep cycling on higher amps...

either unit is typical victim of bad installation causing poor efficiency or changghong are making people fool

I am using Dawlance Designer Plus Inverter from Past 3 Years it has been working good.

This year i am facing Issue with increase Amperes compared to previous years.
Previously it use to Start Max at 7 Ampere and after an hour it reduces to 2.5-3 amp. Now it starts at 12 ampere and reduces till 5 amp.

Is it due to high outside temperature???

yes high ambient lead to higher amp pull

it may settle well when temp gets better...right now almost whole country is under severe heatwave

12amp means your unit is 1.5ton unit

or its a 2 ton unit... or a really heavy compressor...

the kenwood 1838 i have never goes above 8.5 amperes, running at full load
