I mean rated is among 6 amps maximum but it was taking 8.2 conti.. cooling was also not well.... Technician says that problem is outdoor location...

what are reasons for high discharge temperature? This old AC (discussed previously) thermally trips when ambient temperature is more than 40C. Cooling is great though.

condensor/evaporator coils cant exchange heat cool effeciently as it ages... .....if its t1 type then even new units trips like that above 42-43...

did you check fans of outer..? are they blowing at full speed?

Yes the outdoor fan is throwing hot air, the temperature difference between inlet of condenser and outlet is 10C. I kept a thermometer near compressor area and it reads nearly 50C. If ambient is higher like 40+ than compressor area reaches 57C and finally trips.
I have few more ACs at home, one is new inverter, another is old mitsu but for some reason when i touch condenser of this problematic AC, its much hotter than rest of ACs. I even changed its position a bit for better air flow but not much help.

Was it recharged with gas recently?

If voltage is low then it will draw more amperes. Check the voltage.

What does sleep mode do (specifically for orient inverters)?
As mostly we set are temp on 30 because below it we need blanket or sheet. But the ac drops the room temperature to 28 and then the compressor also shuts off for few minutes which causes a heat wave in the room and literally I sometime sweat because of this. And as soon as compressor restarts everything seems fine. Also this happens once in 1 hour or maybe 2 hours. Also 30C means our hourly average consumption is fix at 500 watts (0.5 units) if we see in their app (Mevris). So if I enable sleep mode, it will be better?

Which cable is used between indoor and outdoor unit of inverter AC? Please tell the grade of the wire and good brand for it.

In some air conditioners sleep mode will just shutdown AC when you set timer from remote.

Others will increase room temperature while you are sleeping by 1°C.

Tried sleep mode. It turns off the display and also it was not good at maintaining a good temperature

4mm wire is more then enough for upto 1.5 tons.

it depends on where the main plug wire is connected. if the main wire is connected to the outer. then you can even use 2.5mm wire going to the inner unit. as the heavy load is in the outer unit.

use 3 core flexible type wire. earth, neutral, live. pakistan cable is good.

Most new units require 4 core wire. wire type is mentioned in manual. Usually is H07RN-F or H05RN-F depending on load capacity

There is forth signal/communication wire too.

And that jugaar of supplying current directly to outer and then sharing it with inner won't work with inverter ACs.

The new inverter ACs take power in outer and then wire runs towards thr inner unlike the old arrangement of inner to outer.

@dms664 did you compile up technicians list who use vacuum pump? if so, please share here also. Also tell if any technician is available or anyone knows with vacuum pump in lahore.
