Orient Ultron mega. Identical units inside and out. Only difference is logo printed on it. Last year it was 35k cheaper than Kenwood. Kenwood is just robbing customers due to its name value

Which cheapest and best DC inverter should I buy? How is ur experience with Candy and Changhong Ruba? My AC technician is totally against inverter ACs but after insisting and asking many times he suggested to get the cheapest one available in market

I live near sea in karachi so any special brand to look for? Should i get 1 ton or 1.5 tons. Both my present acs are 1ton and performing perfectly in these rooms since around 9yrs. But technician recommending 1.5ton else he says I would not be able to utilize INVERTER mode for which i am spending this money

go for inverter.. 1 ton should be fine, will take bit more time in initial cool down. later on both will perform same, got this chart from a tcl website, 1.5 can be considered but 1 ton isn't an issue either, rest, upto you, you want 1.5 or 1, pick accordingly

yes, because ac guys don't even understand that a term "cooling load" exists

i would say, consider haier candy, never experienced chanhong ruba so can't say anything about it

I am using haier good performance....
But chanhong ruba is not very much reliable...
Know many people who are not satisfied beacuse of it's durability...

Bro nowadays AC guys say no AC is reliable specially inverter ones may last 2-3yrs before defect. The good thing I liked about Changhong Ruba guys is that when i called their helpline and told them that i live near sea side. They clearly told that none of our inverter series will survive for more than 1.5-2yrs and there are likely chances of PCB fault (same thing that my technician said). Called general helpline they simply said that our AC have not yet reported any problem near sea side. But this thing is quite true but jub tak jis cheez ki zindagi hai tou hai. So keeping in view their honesty, my technician recommendation to buy cheapest inverter AC (as all of them develop fault much earlier then non inverter ac) and some good reviews about Changhong Ruba i am very much serious in buying it within few days. If anyone have some argument please do share. Same honesty was experienced by SIMTEK guys for pure sine wave UPS regarding proximity of sea but i still bought and installed it at a place that has minimum exposure to humidity and by the grace of Almighty it’s proving itself. So honesty is rare and it pays off

Thanks for sharing. I also value such things. I'm not using any product of changhong but I heard that their 'CHIQ' series ACs are good. If you see detail they mentioned compressor brand and even thickness of coil.
There is rusting issue in my area as well, I'm using haier from last two years.when I bought that, I disassembled the evaporator and applied epoxy on ubends, same was done on condenser. That is working for me, I alse shared pics in this thread at that time.

Please share those pics again. I also have that transparent paint i also applied on ubends but they survived only 2 years.. epoxy is same?
