any idea about customs on this stuff?

I will roll the carpet but then there is bed right near the ac and it is having a mattress. moving that stuff away is labor intensive job and secondly there is no space to move that stuff around inside the room, we will need to bring it outside after dismantling so you can say nazuk surat e haal

no idea about customs.. its already too expensive at this price...

consider relocating your AC to a more maintenance friendly place...

or just get large polythene sheets and cover everything..

I accidentally found this thread. Believe me I have changed around 4 units if inverter AC frim PEL, Haier and Kenwood during last 4-5 years. All of them had the same problem uband of indoor unit was leaked. My recent unit's uband was leaked. It is a Dawlance mega T3 series. I thought it will last long but it leaked under 8 months.

After going through this thread I came to know about vacuuming. Guys, I am about to receive a new Dawlance mega+ T series 1 ton unit tomorrow. Is it a recommended series or I should not go for it. Also, let me know of technician who will perform installation after vacuuming. I am based in Karachi.

So just a little review on my candy 1.5 ton Inverter
So i purchased the AC in march last year and it worked fine in last season but now a couple of days ago when i turned on the AC and it was not cooling at all. Called the haier and the technician who visited told that the evoporater got leaked and need to be fixed and there was no gas in it.
So it started to gave the problem in the first year of use. @SER_GTR hope yours working fine uptill now?

Thanks a lot. I called him on Saturday but he said that they are not doing AC installations. I will call him today again and will give your reference. Hopefully, his answer will change .

An update for the rest of the folks. You can contact Daikin for the installations of inverter units. They are going to charge 7k. I believe their service is across Pakistan. I am not sure of the quality of service. However, as per them vacuuming is performed using vaccum pump.

I am certain that they haven't performed the vacuming.

Companies along with the technicians are working hand in hand to install units without following proper guidelines in order to mint more money. More failed units will result in more sales and more money for the technicians.

I end up buying Dawalance again even though my 8 month old mega T3 evaporator also got leaked. They replaced it with a new one.

Reason for buying again is that I believe longevity has a lot more to do with the installation of the units rather than the unit itself. Secondly, Dawlance is offering extended warranty of an additional one year by paying extra 2K. I don't think any other company is offering 2 years parts warranty.

I think Haier has 2 year parts warranty.

Yes they will replace the part in warranty but i did not expect the unit to fail so early.
