It Happen Specially If Unit Is Operational In High Humid Places And Moisture Remain On Evaporator.

Bad Installation Or Just Random Leak Can Happen Also.... It Happen With Any Other Brand Like Gree/Dawlance/Kenwood/TCL Also....

This is why its always suggested to keep unit running time to time ....fully dry its moisture at end of season by using only fan for 30-45mins .

For best cooling, get any T3 compressor in:

TCL
kenwood
Dawlance
Haier

In cheapest price you can get. Specially those that have good support n warranty in your area.

Agreed all are same except gree.
They import chinese generic ACs and then stamp their product name on it here and sell it on hefty premium.
Saw the outdoor units of kenwood and pel and they were ditto copy of each other.

Gree is the original brand among all these which uses the compressors of their own. Rest all have borrowed compressors.

Gree is also same. Only difference is indoor plastic body for which each have their own design but it hardly matters. OEM for compressors are only 2-3 manufacturers which everyone is using in their units.

Gree is having compressors of their own. Please check again. They are not same like generic Chinese acs marked as different Pakistani brands.

Does vacuuming need to be done to shift a unit from one location to other? I have to move ac from one house to another.

If it was vacuumed first time it was installed, if not then sab mix mahool ok hai

yes, anytime the lineset is exposed to atmosphere (which it will be when you remove the unit) it needs to be vacuumed before you release the gas into the lineset.

I hope your original installer vacuumed the system on the first install too, otherwise you will have adulterated ac gas in the system, meaning gas + atmosphere (air)

Yes. U need to perform vacuuming as air and humidity will enter the indoor unit and lines connecting both indoor and outdoor unit. Becareful of technicians as they will come up with foolish statements.

Daikin installation team showed up yesterday with a freaking compressor referring to it as a vaccum pump. We refused to let them install the unit. After lots of deliberation they left. When we called the company they started making excuses and said the guy got "sick" who is having the vacuum pump.

They are charging 7K and trying to fool the customers who are not aware of the installation tools and procedure.

These same people would then sell 1200 rupees r410a gas for 7000 rupees per kg

Manufacturers should coat ubends/coils to protect them from corrosion. It will hardly cost them 1000 - 2000 rupees and may be charge customers for that.
