I have both, Gree Pular and TCL 18T3 Pro.
Had my TCL 1.5 installed about a couple months ago by a professional technician that also did vacuuming for 10 minutes and the same is true for Gree Pular 1.5 which was installed last year.
Though, I've never measured how much they're costing me in terms of electricity, I’d say both my rooms are enormous and I have since decided to opt for a 2-ton unit if I ever make a purchase again.
TCL 18T3 Pro 1.5 ton has a surprisingly better throw than Gree’s. The reason being could be that TCL’s unit simply has a larger inner unit which translates into better air throw hence cooling the room faster.
TCL is installed in a room that gets direct sunlight from morning to dusk, yet it cools the room surprisingly well, that too is without turbo mode and temperature at 26c, though, you gotta give it some time before the cooling kicks in.
As for Gree Pular, the throw is on a lower side, technically speaking, though if your room is slightly smaller then I wouldn't say that the “feel” is significant.
Both companies have hiked their prices since I last purchased them. I have recently heard from my friend that Pular have been reportedly seeing issues among customers, which is a bit of a worry. Also, since Pular’s auto clean isn't that all effective (it's called X-fan, I believe), it has accumulated a lot of dirt over 1 year of consecutive use, glistening sludge would be a better term.
