Guys any idea what is ES6 and ES10 inverter technology used in Ecostar R32 Duke AC units?

Is it different from DC inverter technology?

Aoa, can you share some feedback on TCL T3pro? I am looking for a 2 TON unit for my lounge.
The website says that TCL T3pro 2 Ton has an EER of 3.5, the specs of this unit are really good. The only thing that is holding me back is the outdoor unit weight of 37kg. I am looking at Midea Xtreme Cool series that has an EER of 3.4 but outdoor unit weight is 43.1kg, but then their warranty is not really good only 3 years
Really confused here.

I can give a detailed feedback once the season has started. I did use it in heat pump mode during winters and it performed very well, by increasing temperature in tv lounge which is about 450 sq feet.
Now T3 pro is not 5DC, midea spec says that midea 2 ton ac is 5DC. So the two models are not strictly comparable.
Warranty and backup services are a must for me so I chose TCL. Also for me it was value for money, to give you an idea it cost me 133k for 2 ton. Also when I complained to TCL that my unit is under performing, they changed my whole unit with a brand new one.
So yes I think after sales and brand physical presence are the factors in favor of TCL.
I'll also try sharing the out door unit picture, to see what the sticker says about it's weight

Now T3 pro is not 5DC

I think it is 5DC now, at least the new model is as per the website. PFB the specs screenshot. I also took a screenshot from Videowalisarkar's review and there in the specs it didn't mention it being Full DC, now it does. Screenshot attached for reference. You can scroll to 50 sec mark on his review where he shows the specs from the website

P.S: Checked with helpline and they are also confirming that it is now Full DC and that previously it wasn't. They also say that the warranty has been increased to 10+4 from 10+3.

Yes I am being swayed towards TCL as well because warranty is important here. TCL T3 pro has a bigger indoor unit as well, the combined weight of the units on TCL T3 Pro is 52kg and on Midea Xtreme Cool Series is 56.5kg so I think I should let go of the extra 4.5kg in favor of extended warranty and peace of mind and not to mention the cheaper cost. It would be easier to make a decision if there was some way of finding out the actual compressor used in both, I don't think that would quite be possible.

If it is effectively heating a 450 sq foot room I think it should be able to manage the cooling part just as well, hopefully.

If Kenwood 1838 is 5dc then orient Ultron mega model would also be 5dc as both are identical units with just branding difference. However Kenwood is a lot more expensive than orient just because of marketing and demand

Would you recommend going for Orient Ultron Mega instead of TCL T3 Pro? I am unable to find any proper specifications for Orient unit. But after having gone through this comment, I will try and do some research, will update here if I find anything.

I will second @saqibhassan95 on 5dc point. If you read the details mentioned on TCL website, only in T5 model description they mention 5dc terminology.
Also I checked my outdoor unit. It is 37 kg outdoor and 15 kg indoor.

no longer there on website ( i downloaded it year ago when i bought t3 pro)

back then when I got t3 pro, i checked both, t3 pro is 3dc and no where globally is marketed as 5dc
and in paki market, generally 3dc inverters are marketed as full dc, there's no 5dc concept, that's why even tcl rep told you that t3 pro is full dc inverter

Hey man, thnx for the response. What brand would you suggest I get in 2 ton? I like Midea but it has 3 years warranty and that scares me because fault can occur anytime. We had a Mitsubishi made in Thailand got it in 2015 I think and it got a PCB fault in about 3 years, have two more Mitsubishi bought in 2005, going great till date, superb ACs.

Anyways, what would you recommend, the local brands all seem same now with same manufacturers in China only the outer shells are changed. It's so confusing.

I will suggest Gree fairy series. After Gree, TCL.
If you have the budget then look for Acson.

Okay so was able to find Gree Fairy 3W has a 17kg indoor unit and a 53kg outdoor. I am quoted PKR 290k for it, Gree Fariy 3W had 1300 m3/h airflow, which is pretty nice. They were recommending Samsung 24AR I think for 332k.

In your opinion is the Fairy series worth the extra money?

If you have the budget then look for Acson.

Gree is v good. Don't have any info about it's wifi connectivity and it's app. Gree fairy is expensive and good.
However if you don't want to spend that much then TCL T3 pro or else look for a good option in Haier.

Don't buy Gree they are out of stock for most parts.

Ask yourself

What will 50-100k extra get you?

Is there a superior technology or innovation in it? No.

Is it super reliable Japanese owned and manufactured unit? No.

Is it far more energy efficient that it’ll be 2x cheaper to run? No.

So, why would you spend that much extra money. If the prices were same or similar, I’d say you could’ve gone with it.

In practice both will be at the same probability of failure and very similar performance, energy efficiency.

using t3 pro 1 ton for year+, (bought in 2022 Q1, for 76.5k), satisfied so far
so if I had to pick one, will go for t3 pro 2 ton
buying gree kenwood etc. at this price point, makes no sense to me
tcl is kinda sweet spot for me, in pricing, cooling and heating, power consumption, overall reliability (like evaporator leakage and pcb issues), App integration (tbh tcl app is underrated, no bugs at all, 10/10 user experience, reservation and timers for turning on or off etc work as expected every time. no delays or server issues) and as an overall package

Makes sense, I think I should not worry too much about the size of the outdoor unit. My lounge doesn't get a lot of sunlight as there is a floor above it as well and only one wall is exposed that too has tree cover. The 24000 BTU should be fine for me.

I was looking for the high end fairy series 1,2,3 fortunately found it but I agree with you the 60k premium is not worth it in my opinion as well.

I think I'll go with TCL pro and I know good installers in Isb Friends Electric, had installed two ACs from them, and they use the vacuum pump. Thank you for the responses. Will In sha Allah share my review once I have the unit installed.
