Hi everyone, i am looking for 1 ton inverter AC that can run on 3KVA generator. I have came across TCL AC, and would like to know if any other brand provide Gen function?

no rigid intervals. i clean when i feel the air throw is no longer satisfactory or too much wooshing sounds from the blower. or visible dust accumulation...

when its too much to clean with brush, out comes the pressure washer.

normal use is from evening till morning. i guess more than 10 hours per day

In the market for a new 1.5 ton inverter ac here in KHI. Midea 1.5 ton HRFN is short and not available. Any other suggestions? Thank you.

I had never heard about Midea before this season.

How come it’s suddenly all over the place? Looks like some major marketing done by them dumping all the money to make a market here?

Also looks like a Chinese brand, do they assemble stuff locally, if so how is the quality?

Apparently a chinese brand that builds for Gree / other oems. Assembles locally in ISB, apparently the quality is good per a close friend.

You're right regarding the AC / brand being literally all over.

Split ACs are very delicate specially the ones we get in Pak.. often requires warranty or service center assistance.

No idea on aftersales since I believe their ACs are still relatively new. Hoping other members can comment on this further.

I recently got a Midea 2T inverter through PakRef. It is a Karachi based outlet as well as an e-commerce store.
The performance is great but it has only been around 2 weeks. Albeit very tough two weeks.
The installation was done professionally using a vacuum pump which I insisted on.
Let’s see how this goes.
Previous history in same room, Daikin 1.6T inverter installed in 2021 by the company using vacuum, which clogged and leaked right after the 1 year warranty expired. Got it fixed for minor leaks and clogs every season after that including the current one. Hence the reason for replacement. Apparently the room was a tad too big for the 1.6T as pointed out by some experts here. The Midea is really chilling it Alhamdulillah.

Are Gree Pular series and TCL TAC T3 Pro made by same company? Their indoor and outdoor units looks virtually identical.

A bit of negotiation but I compared with company pricing (taken directly). They were offering a small discount off that.
They had one advantage, their pcb warranty on Midea is 4 years vs the company’s standard 2 years.

I tried to look up international reviews for Midea ACs, only found some on Malaysian and Singaporean sites, some on Aus ones.

Doesn’t look anything too fancy and is just another Chinese brand like Hisense, TCL and Gree.

If available at cheap prices I might go for it. Otherwise would prefer option that provides a good service and support network.

Midea still not available and price of 1.5 ton has been hiked from 165k to 185k. I'm opting for a lower variant of gree instead.

The availability of ACs in the market seems to be very limited at the moment with super high prices.

Bought Haier 1.5T inverter and disassembled it to apply epoxy resin on U bends for longer life. I did the same few yers ago as well and shared on the same thread. This time I observed that haier has applied some blue coating on U bends of evaporator coil but weight, quality and size of coil is reduced. Outdoor unit quality is same as before.

• TCL T5 smart or T3 Pro
• Pel Jumbo Prime T3 1.5
