This month i got bill of 5500rs which include 1.5 ton orient 12 hours daily usage and two 13 watts led one ceiling fan and one fridge.

So if you used it for five hour daily you would get 2000 to 2500rs/ month depends on the room size and its temperature. My room usual temp in summer is 31 and i am using my ac at 28c.

I would advice you to go for kenwood as many people says its better then orient. But i am satisfied with its performance.

There is no such big price difference in 1ton and 1.5 ton i would suggest you to go for 1.5 ton

Orient is good i am using one, so far only dawlance have there own trained staffs rest is just on contract basis. According to my experience with some brands.

Do check out kenwood too.

Can you guys shed some light on Gree 1.25 Ton 16000Btu model 16cith3f Price 62900.How is it and its performance as their isn't much price difference between Gree 1 Ton 12000 Btu G10 and Gree 1.25 Ton. As Gree 1.5 Ton 18000 Btu in terms of price is high or another option is Orient Ultron Series 1.5 Ton which is almost Rs 60000.

I don't have kenwood so i can comment on its specs, i am using orient prime series, but orient ultron series has biggest indoor unit if you are looking for that one

I have sold my faulty 1 ton ac at 5500 each, so you can sell them around 15 to 20k i think not sure about that.

OK thanks. What about the electricity bill? Actually my logic is that with 1 ton AC i would let it run all the time as i generally keep the AC temperature at 26 and don't want to room too chilled. Worried if i get a 1.5 ton AC and let it run during the evenings and through the night the electricity bill will be too high. Don't want to go for an inverter ac yet as the outer unit will be placed on the roof which is used by other people and heard that these units and their circuitry is rather fragile and worried it might get damaged.

Actually this is a very tempting price for a good unit. As suggested by others and advertised on tele, Gree gives "pooray BTU" which means that a 16,000 BTU will actually be almost like an 18,000 BTU units sold by others. Plus if your room is on the smaller side, say 150 to 200 sq. ft. then this is a very good option. I would personally consider it a better option than buying an Orient 1.5 ton for 60K.

I have shared my bill details of the portion that houses one Kenwood 1.5 ton and one Gree 16000BTU unit, the kenwood operated for the whole month and Gree operated for aprox 18 days. Both ACs run 9-10 hours per day on an average. My electricity bill was over 50% less compared to what I paid last year.

I'm extremely satisfied with Kenwoods as they are both installed in large rooms (aprox 15x18x10 and aprox 33x12x10) whereas the Gree is installed in a smaller room (approx 12x12x10).

It will not make much of a difference in invert as consumption is always flexible according to the need of the room. I am using at 28c as its comfortable enough to sleep in it. And don't keep the length too much use angle as increase in length will compromised the cooling and decreased the life of compressor.

I would suggest you to go for dawlance over galanz at least you will have a peace of mind about the after sale service. And dawlance lvs is available for 29k last time i checked and its good for karachi as we have low voltage during summer, it can evem run at 155v.

Any Good and reasonable AC installer here in Rwp ? I am based in Chaklala Rwp. Secondly for refilling purpose which gas is recommended Genetron or Honeywell ? Unit is Mitsubishi Mr.Slim not used for the last 4 years. Hardly used 4 months when it was purchased.
