Haier lvs model doesn't have the full btu for 1.5t. It's rates at 16000btu I think.

Amps are not constant. It will take whatever amps required to keep the room at set temperature.

Your room is Ok for 1ton AC but I recommend Gree 1.25ton as this will cool the room rapidly than 1 ton.

I bought Ascon 1 Ton on last Friday and fitted in a room of size 12x14 first floor and room is exposed to sunlight all the afternoon. It is working like a charm. I can say it's cooling is like top end ACs.

On 20c temp, it is consuming 5.5 Amps

That's cheap for a good brand AC. Mind sharing where you got it from ? What was the price of 1.5 ton if you had any chance of inquiring?

If we set thermostat to higher numbers like 27,28,30 etc will AC consume less power or is it like if AC reaches near to set ambient room temperature it consumes less power.what should be ideal fan speed settings, auto,min,medium or max if AC runs for 10-12 hours /day

When it reaches to set temp it consumes less power. If you are usin ceilling fan along AC then set fan speed to medium or high as per speed of your fan. If not using fan then set the AC fan speed to Auto.
I am using this combination on my KENWOOD 1803 and its working awesome, Alhamdolillah.

I don't use ceiling fan it throws very hot air as roof & side wall is exposed to sunlight most of the day.i will try autofan as you suggested.i think in Gree energy saving mode they set it as temp 26 + fan speed auto too.
Should air swing be set to ON or like I set it towards bed for comfort.i tried earlier with swing ON but then it takes hours for room to come to comfortable temp zone

I dont think that air swing will cause the unit to take more time. Well you can install an AMP meter at the +ve wire of your AC and check how much it is consuming. Just buy the simple meter which is now adays installed at power distribution box in homes and it will cost u not more then 500 Rs, and it will keep u telling all the time how much AMPs your units is consuming.

I have amp meter I check sometimes.mostly I have seen AC consuming around 4.6 amps in daytime & after running at night in morning it shows 2.5 amps.it is 1 ton Gree inverter.i think I bought undersized unit for my room as when I bought it I didn't have idea about other factors like exposure of walls,roof to sun etc.if I run it at high fan speed or turbo mode then it reaches set temp early but running fan on high speed for long hours isn't good for life of AC I think.

What is your room size? I am using 1.5 ton Kenwood in my top floor 200sqft room.
I revommend kenwood to everyone just because of its bigger outdoor and 1000m3/sqft air flow whereas all the other units are having 800m3/sqft of air flow.

Original Acson ac not possible for 49k, its price is about 90k+.
Even second line brands 1 ton ac are above 50k

Dear All .... Up for sale is my brand new only few days used kenwood 1.5 ton AC .... Its kenwood elegance in white color ... Purchased brand new last month and installed few days back .... If any one interested to buy it then give me a buzz at 03228462222 ..... I am from DHA lahore ...
The only reason for selling is i need a 2 Ton invertor AC because of my room in bigger size and exposed to sunlight from all sides and also having low voltage issues.
