IPhone 6 consuming Balance even though Mobile data is off!

Recently my brother send a unlocked Iphone 6 from Canada. Everything is working normal except for strange thing which is consuming balance even though the mobile data is off! this is the first time i am using Iphone. i contacted the Warid support and they said to type *324# and see where the balance is being consumed it shows last five deductions which is LTE charges. last night i had a balance amount Rs.52 and now it is only Rs.23??? my sim is old and did not convert it to 4g yet!
can anyone help me what else to do stop this issue! IOS version is 10.3.3.

I don't think iPhone bothers to collect our money. Its your carrier. Our carriers are notorious in fleecing their customers. A famous internet provider automatically deducts money after every few days even though you are not even using their services.

I don't know about Warid deducting money, but its prepaid sim if yes. Then they don't deduct automatically. And since you are first time iphone owner. This is the most common problem.

Its the iphone problem. Lots of services are ON which without your internet package will always deduct your money. And even if you turn ur internet on without any package even for one second. Lteeats data very quickly. But since u said its old sim. Still possible.

And go to settings and in general go to background app refresh and turn it off. And buy an internet package asap.
Same happened to my 3gs when parents bought it and money was used all night due to internet being on but NOT being in use.

Or icloud is eating away your data ( this is next level problem you will face later).

Wa alaikum asalam wa rehmatullahi wabarakatuhu. Iphone is all about being connected to internet. So try to puchase a weekly internet package. Otherwise its hard to stop it from not using internet. Because lots of services are using internet. Go to privacy in settings and go to system services at the end. They will be using internet. Wait. Go to settings and cellular or mobile internet and there will it show which service is using internet. If you get an idea then good. Otherwise go down below and reset the statistics and then watch which app is using internet after a day or so. Here is the attachment below

I am a android lover due to everything (long list)! but since my younger brother send it to me i just can't refuse or show any distaste! but i must say my p8lite is damn easy (using since 2015) due to android 6.
i will see to it if this will go on for next few days i will simply put the sim back to my old phone and give it to my mother! lol

Have you activated iMessage or Facetime on your sim? Or any message you get regarding iMessage or Facetime?

I was going to write this but @zuhaibafzal has already done that. iMessage & FaceTime send out international messages for activation.

Wi-Fi assist could be the culprit, automatically switching on data.

You need to disable wifi assist in settings also iCloud drive .once I forgot to disable it and it ate my balance .pic is attached

Same thing happened to me last year when i was in pak. I restarted my phone & the balance came back. It's some issue with the service provider (zong in my case).
