Is 3sgte a daily drive motor

2.0 turbo engine came in a daily driven car from factory.

2. ur corolla would do around 10-12 kms in a liter. meaning 300 Rs/day.
   3. High octane is fuel to use but its not that if u use regular super fuel ur car would not drive i would simply not perform 100% maybe at 80-90%.

it wont perform 80-90%, it'll completely seize the engine. ive had first hand experience.

if youre going to drive on super, then no boosting.

you may have knocking with 50/50 still it is not advised...

@Ahad i would refrain from further comments from the fear of triggering a Toyota Honda War, but 3sgte wont be seized by using super or even a 50/50 mix. From personal experience

yes it doesnt make sense. fuel is supposed to burn, if it wont burn well then the engine will not be responsive but how will it seize. the lubrication is concerned with engine oil. the one possibility in my mind is that the injectors may get clogged.

THe octane rating is not enough for such tuned boosted motors...they may work on very simple charades or smaller engines...but on cars with proper engine management systems you require only hi octane...

plus im talking 100 percent super, never tried 50/50 and neither would i ever want to...

just take it this way, id rather spend an extra 100 rupees on fuel to save my cars engine which would cost 60-70,000 hope that makes more sense

bhai agar gaadi front wheel pay rakhni hai tu dont go for 3sgte .... too much kharcha plus nakhray and no real world performance, 3sgte works best on four wheel setup ... for front wheel setup and if you can afford high octane than go for 20v blacktop or 3sge beams blacktop ... only 19/20 diff in these engines and 3sgte on front wheel setup.
i have no practical experience but i have come to this conclusion after researching this topic on the internet ,,, so i could be wrong.

OMG can everyone just chill for a moment. the OP asked if it can eb used as a daily driven motor. a simple yes or no with a litlte bit of info would be fine,... you guys go WAY over the top and start discussing AFRs and CRs etc.

A very simple and practical suggestion to all my friends participating.
3S-GTE is an engine made for performance and not for economy.
I agree that turbocharged engines have better mileage than naturally aspirated
versions of same engines , but if u r going for a 3S-GTE and thinking of economy at the
same time, than i dont suggest that u opt for a 3S-GTE . sharing my experience , if u know
that u have a 256 BHP ( ST 215 ) engine under the hood , then u will press the gas pedal
as desired on requirement and take out some horses from that engine.
If u r going for economy , have a NA engine like 3S-GE beam which comes with dual VVTi and is fuel efficient.,
provided all wiring is done properly and VVti is engaged.
precisely , a 3S-GTE engine is not for daily use and efficiency, my suggestion.

thanks for your reply i am also thinking on 3sge beams swap its a good option for daily drive car with lot of power.
@ all plz can some one guide me about the fuel requirement for 3sge beams (red top) means can beams run good on unleaded fuel or high octane is required.

I know people think i am crazy over here and probably choru as well. but i am gonna put some pics and vids and will bring my car too at the next meet up.

I am driving a corolla 2010 with a jdm 3sgte. fuel average without boost is 8km which is pretty good.with boost you see the gauge drop in a while.It also depends on the condition of your engine, mine was 8000 km drive. + it was of a auto gear on which i put a manual 4s transmission! so they are not much reved up!
