Is a j18 engine swap possible in a cultus

A friend of mine has quoted me 100k.for j18 engine,low mileage,6 puc clutch,5 speed gearbox ,complete stage1.with ecu,mounting and fitting.should i go 4 it.

Its a Beautiful engine and would look clean in the Cultus. Good torque and very suitable for turbo charging. The deal with your friend sound reasonable and i suggest you go for it. You WILL have issues fitting it in and you'll most certainly have to use a dremel and cut off the left side member to accomodate the transmission. Choose your suspension wisely cuz that'll make or break your car, the Engine/Gearbox combo is heave and the car tends to understeer like a shopping cart. Look up my post where i swapped it in my Liana.

P.s. The G15 sucks. I tried it after the J18 and believe me, its not worth the commentary!

j18 in cultus not a bad idea..currently some in isloo is running j18 in suzuki khyber

but i will never recomand u this setup.....its 130ps engine...and u will be in moving in 1.8 catagory

so batter stay with g13b or g15a

currently we have swaped around 4 g15a in baleno and cultus and its batter then 1.6gti or any other suzuki engine..but yet every 1 has thier own experince

g15a is 100hp engine but using it in normal routine life is easy as well..

well dont forget to take into considration the quality and built and controls of your car. it does thrilling to drive fast but that cannot be done in just any car. in my opinion cultus is not built for overspeeding.

The G15's rated at 95ps not 100 and gets spanked by the G16 on the locally available GTi, mod for mod. PERDIOD. The J18, Its heavier yes but worth its weight in fun and whats the deal with this "category" crap? What happened to driving pleasure!

Errr. Sorry to burst your bubble, the G15 isn't fast, the FG's SLOW!! Note the D16 for reference! G15's a crap engine! Heavy valve train, 6800k rev limiter, does'nt rev, doe'nt go! SUzuki has some nice engines, very nice, the G15 ISN'T one of them!
