English language is not gender specific ... but we speak Urdu and Punjabi, which have gender assigned to every possible noun ... and in this case, Laadli has become synonymous with beauty and related attributes .. therefore, I think it is appropriate to consider her as "Sinf-e-Naazuk" .. of course, still a bacha .. considering her age, which is less than a year, as of now

It does not really matter what we get .. it all matters what we do with it ...

I was so happy when I got my own car (Land Rover) ... I spent almost all of my pocket money on it, and transformed into something really worth seeing.

Thinking of the old days, my eldest brother had a passion for collecting cars .. which often invited wrath from my father, who always insisted on simplicity.

I learnt driving when I was in 4th grade. It was a Chevy Caprice Classic ... and I needed a cushion on the seat to be able to see what was there on the other side of windscreen.

I know .. I am attracting attention of friends who will have a lot to say about "under-age" driving ... sorry .. but in our family, it was kind of tradition.

... when I was in my first year in college ... I had a Celica at that time ... one evening my brother came home in a FJ Land Cruiser .. it was a lovely car with bright red paint. Huge wide tyres ...

I did not let my brother get out of the LC before getting hold of the keys ... I spent the whole night, installing "state-of-the-art" audio system (it was state of the art for that time, and was available with me) ...

My brother warned me about the fuel consumption of that 6 cylinder vehicle .. I did not care .. It was love at first sight ,,

It is said that "Love at first sight, saves a lot of money and time", but in this case, the "love at first sight" proved to be very expensive .. I was a student!!!

The next morning, I proudly drove to my college in the LC (it was FC College) after getting 10 liters of petrol .. My daily pocket money was Rs. 50 ... and 10 liters cost me Rs. 66 ... Anyways, on my way back (actually half way back) .. the LC stopped ... I checked and it had run out of fuel ...

That "love at first sight" drained my financial resources ... My father wondered why I needed a 4X raise in my daily pocket money ... and he did not believe that the "innocent LC" could guzzle so much fuel. He thought I had fallen victim to "peer pressure" at FC College, and was probably chasing girls ... well, that was not totally "incorrect technically", but surely, LC burnt a hole in my pocket.

Finally .. I had to let my "love-at-first-sight" go ...

In my opnion D4D diesel is much better then 2.7 petrol.

The "PW Garage" shows small sized photos ... if possible, please share your photos with better resolution in this thread.

Petrol and diesel are different .. I have not used the words, better or worse for a reason ... Diesel engines are much more reliable and sturdier than their petrol counterparts, and they have much longer life. Besides, they almost never break down, and little, if any, maintenance is required.

However, petrol engine is required in certain cases. For sudden bursts of power, they are the obvious choice.

For very low temperatures, diesel becomes useless as it curdles. In that kind of sub-zero temperatures, we are left with the choice of petrol only.

According to the car companies, the newer models are safer than before ... It seems kind of strange statement .. Of course, they have added features like airbags, crumple zone in the engine compartment, etc ... but the question remains whether the newer models with lots and lots of plastic in place of steel .. makes a stronger vehicle ...

It is tough to compare what is an ancient design with the newest Hilux
[LEFT]The current 3l VIGO D4D has much more power than the earlier 2.5 versions and it really needed it. It is adequately powered in this presumably final version but clearly nowhere near the current Hilux vigo. [LEFT]The interior design may look like old but at least the materials are good quality.
My late 2007 Vigo does not like slow tarmac stuff in the dry in 4x4. In the wet, great. Reason is we have LSD (Limited Slip Differential) to get tough with stuff and not the high tech brake on/off like previous models.

What do you think ... will the new model show the same level of sturdiness as the 4th Gen model?

They used the latest model vigo to go the north and south poles...to volcanoes and dont remember where else.
