Is buying gto 125,a good idea?

hey guys,
i am very much into bikes,currently i hv metro 70cc,sprinter 110cc customized n honda cg 125cc...kawasaki has always been fascinating for me but had a very bad experience wid gto 100 91model...i mean it used to giv me 10 to 12 kms per litre n while riding engine used to turn off on its own...but now whenever i c sum1 riding gto125 i just want to buy that,just want to ride that,afraid dat if i buy dat may b hv to go to mechanic evry other day...curious whether it wud b a gud idea or not i posted dis thread...

plz guide me in terms of its price,its fuel economy,its maintenance charges evry month

if you can afford fuel for gto ,,if you can care her and pick all nakhray like a gf then you should go for it.
gto s stuff like carb etc is still available people do arrange the stuff

bhai mechanic se na he mashwara krna...kyun he will definitely say agr petrol pump apna hai to le lena.....if you have a good gto in sight.go for it...other members will also guide you....anyhow gto needs to much care...as nowadays fuel prices have gone damn high....and oil expenses aswell...so think everything before buying....

in my opinion buying a gto 125 is not a good idea according to maintenance fuel consumption and other similar things.

@juste:sir how can you say that gto 125 is expensive....???its just a rumour that "gto na lena petrol afford nahi hoga........."if ur bike is fit then you don't have to worry about the fuel consumption......these 2 stroke bikes are just expensive due to the excessive use of oil i.e side oil etc.......otherwise no such issue......as far as maintenance is concerned every machine needs maintance even a 4-stroke.......i myself own a gto 125...and its giving me 35-37km/l in local...whereas if u have a honda it gives you little more avg around 3,4km more..so it isn't bad..but other things cover gto's,rx's that their driving comfort,looks,braking etc.......if one has kept a fit 2 stroke(specially gto's and rx) then he just can't enjoy any other local 4-stroke bike...he may prefer due to smoke etc but not any thing else.....i hope you have got my point....

im my humble opinion , u should not opt for a gto due to a number of reasons , availability of spare parts a major issue , chalo one can live with the consumption , but spare parts are a major concern,one will have to run here and there for them and stilll not be satisified

i own a GTO and Yamaha RX and have kept them since quite some time. if your GTO is fit and its original oil pump is running it will not give u any trouble. maintaining a GTO or Yamaha RX for that matter is not that expensive as long as u get all the necessary engine work done first hand from a reliable mechanic. it is only a rumor that its maintenance is tough or hard to keep.
yes but this i will tell u that overall parts are expensive, but is only one time investment.

GTO has lounched all new 4 STOKE GTO 125, GTO 110 and GTO7t.....it is much ecnomical as compared to old...these machine are amazingly good as like in past.... but still they are in trail to the public to enhance GTO KAWASAKI market.......

i had GTO 7t it is basically 78cc bike in shape of HONDA 70....it is 2009 model but still very good...i find it good among other chinese bikes.....it go over 100 km/h in extreme condition

@engine:actually all china bikes are 90cc................not 70cc..............this is just a technique to sell bikes as 70cc...if they show that the bikes are 90cc..no one will buy and taxes will also increase..only cd70 is 70cc bike available in market..otherwise all are 90cc....big proof....head cylinder of cd70 is 72cm^3...whereas other china bikes have cylinder of 78cm^3.............its just a way to avoid taxes ans become popular in people that these bikes have more pick etc... ...thats why these bikes run more than honda cd70...but they don't have the driving comfort as honda 70...

they are very long life machines - there is a GIANT catch to the term long life - if you repair the engine with no understanding then you are doomed. Correct installation/use of sealants, correct adjustments and tune-up is vital for longevity. Otherwise like all bikes they will become basket cases.

in general most roadside mechanics do not overhaul the engine correctly and due to parts being easily available they somehow are not basket cases for average users. But if done correctly they will run for long between servicing. Kawasaki parts being rare now and the last mentioned rant is what is making them basket cases.

one of my old friend elder brother got GTO 125 in past and my friend also had one but i think that was 110. 1 gear back rest all forward. anyway according to those 2 this bikes maintenance is too much costly. i know these are good in power and speed but availability of parts and maintenance cost are the things. I think a person can compromise little bit on fuel consumption but not on parts and over all bike maintenance.

I have seen some GTO's in excellent condition i even asked few of the GTO owners all of them said bike is great but it ask money to keep it running. I also have seen some GTO's in their worst condition, those owners used to say bhai kharacha bohat hai iska. i just share my opinion with you. I read somewhere on pakwheels that SKM stop manufacturing new GTO bikes, is that true? can any one confirm this news?

buying CG-125 is the best idea.
go for 125, you will feel the difference.

^^Just go for GTO.. there is no parallel of GTO in 125cc class.
