Is immobilizer enough as a security measure for Corolla Gli auto 2016

im gona get a 2016 auto Gli equipped with immobilizer key.

as all know that Gli is like a hot cake for Car thieves.
and i heard the thieves have cracked the immobilizer and the same is no longer a feature one can rely on. so it's gona b a matter of worry for me. rather, it's gona b a 'pain in the S' whenever i wl park the vehicle outside anywhere.

1st question: is it true that the thieves can disable / defeat the immobilizer function??

if yes: what other measures i can take to make my car secure.??

although im gona get a tracker as well, but again, i heard the thieves can disable the tracker too.

Wa Alaikum Salam. May be, good, old school type locks might help, like steering lock, steering and brake lock, etc.

Brother do not take much tension. Just buy the car if you like it, take max. protective care which you can, and then leave the rest to ALLAH ALMIGHTY.

Bro don't ever rely on immobilizer. Nowadays many type of car security gadgets are available in market like gear lock, steering lock, car wheel lock, our desi totkay are also ther like "chor switch" also i have seen gps tracker devices which u can hide anywhere in the car so there are manh ways to protect ur car. Do some of the measures and leave everything to Allah. Inshallah your car will be protected

I don't know if this helps. But check out ChrisFix on YT. He has a video about a kill-switch. Watch that video and attempt it if you feel it's a protective measure.

I would advise you to go for insurance. Yes Allah will protect our belongings but he has also given us brain. When one is investing a huge amount, we should be able to sleep sound , and not worry about out belongings all the time. Rest is your own choice.

Checkout Suneel Munj's video about preventing car theft on Pakwheel's youtube channel for more info. Morever, immobilizer isnt enough at all to protect your car, take some more measures to avoid theft. Ppl have stolen Corolla's in like 2 minutes so what more can i say...

Immobilizer in 2016 Gli is enough. You don't need to install anything else for theft. I don't know what the majority over here is talking about. Although be absolutely sure that the model you're buying has immobilizer.

With that said, immobilizer does not help against snatching at gun point. Insurance covers that.

Insurance is a must nowadays.. considering the prices.. immobilizer is good but not fool proof

Install gear shaft lock. In auto tranny its also effective.

Insurance is best idea. Besides that don't ever use after market alarm or any other device as it will disrupt ur main electricity wire n settings which may cause any disturbance with ecu computer of car tunned factory fitted . N don't use clutch or break steering lock otherwise will damage ur break n clutch drum n wire. U may use only simple gear or steering locks. Observe precautions and leave it to God Protector of all.
However if still have any apprehension then whenever u want to park ur car for a long time at unsafe place. Open ur bonnet ,Remove a main breaker(expensive ) of ecu with fuse of main ignition in fuse box. See the method on YouTube. Every thief has no spare parts expensive likewise that main breaker with him.
