And also tuneup the car well ,before the journey,there are some damaged road ,where your car will touch the ground, so you must know about the basics of driving, and take cross cut throgh that places

Civic X has very low ground clearance. It further hug the ground with adult occupants & luggage load.

Not recommended up north due to ground clearance where the track is not as paved & smooth as any motorway. @Spano @HanifBhatti

I've taken my civic to hunza twice and through the chillas area where there is no road and only a dirt track. car never hit the ground. it all depends on how you maneuver it.

the road is damaged in patches after naran ,you may find some patches before naran too
It is theoretically possible that civic will go easily but not practical because:
there are traffic jams at damaged road patches so you may scrap at some point due to most of the road being covered by other traffic.
Also it requires an experienced driver with enough awareness that he knows where he can cross or not ,then again you are still taking a risk.
Bottom line, it may be possible that you complete the trip without even a difficulty but the road conditions change due to landslides, streams etc. So there can be a chance that you scratch your car too so if you don’t mind a bunch of scrapes under your car and or are ready to take the risk go ahead

Better avoid taking civic..the patches are so bad..u will end up spending a lot of car..if ur car gets damaged...civic..nhn sir..shehri car hai.. at least noiseless nhn rehna is nay

Personally experienced taking my reborn to Naran, never faced any serious ground clearance issue however had to drop 2 x passengers sitting in rear at one place due to weight. I even tried shogran road but but failed as it was in real bad shape.
Civic X has more ground clearance as compared to reborn as I feel, might be wrong. Experts views requested @Spano

Dear Zulayed,

i took my corolla 2007 model with 5 persons to Hunza in September 2019. Road inside Naran is in bad condition with tractor type ruts.Road is nearly ruined .
After Naran there are bad patches (glacier water ) and very deep pits and my rear bumper got hit in one of them. Had to fit a screw in Gilgit. I have even placed a 2 inch spacer in my rear shocks and still this happened.

So I think that you must have been alone in the Civic other wise it is not possible that you did not scrape your car in at least 10 points along the route.

Also after Chillas the Raikot road running along the mountainside is very bad but there weren't any deep pits over there, but for 1 plus hour you cannot drive over 30 km or so.

I left lahore at around 10 pm at night and reach gilgit the next day at around 11 pm , 25 hours drive with no rest and only stopping for fuel and one stop for 20 minutes for drinking coffee as i was too sleepy to drive.

Recently came back on car from karachi 18 hours going and 20 hours coming back. 1,245 km till Hill Park from my home in Lahore. On return i missed a cut (google fault ) and drove 80 km extra.

Anyone have any idea when they will open up Gilgit etc for tourism?
