Is it worth it to buy Google ChromeCast TV?

Hi. I have Toshiba LCD TV with HDMI port. I want to convert it into Smart TV. Now I have two options:

1. Old conventional Google Chromecast device (price around Rs 7800)
   It only mirrors mobile screen to TV.

2. Google ChromeCast TV (price around Rs 14,800)
   It is android tv box which can also mirror mobile screen to TV.

Which one is worth to buy? I only want to mirror my phone's screen, but the Google TV is a futuristic device, it has built in android box with many functionalities, and mobile device is also not needed to operate this one, only WiFi needed.

I'm confused which one to buy.
Please help in deciding

Yes, I have read about it too. But it is simply an android tv stick. I cannot mirror mobile screen, in case it is needed.

As far as i know you CAN cast your mobile on MI TV Stick as its using android 9.0

Yes, you're right. One can mirror mobile on Mi TV Stick too.

The confusion is whether I should buy a simple chromecast device or a TV stick? Definitely there is price difference.

The difference b/w both Chromecast devices is that Google TV one

• Comes with a Remote & doesn't need phone to run
• Has Playstore Pre-installed
• Can stream 4K-HDR content
• Can route audio to your bluetooth headset
• Has marginally better performance overall

If you've a 4K TV & don't want the hassle of controlling your TV with your phone, then get one with the Google TV.

For simple chromecast, everything has to be sent via phone. If this & lack of 4K doesn't bother you then save money & buy a 3rd Gen Chromecast.

*There's another discontinued Chromecast Ultra that can also stream 4K content but doesn't come with a remote.

I'd personally go for Google TV Chromecast because playstore access is a big positive. There's a modded Youtube app that can be installed on it easily which removes all the ads.

You can simply use old google chrome cast device.... you can mirror you mobile screen and also cast YT videos... with google tv chromecast your hdmi tv will act like smart Tv...

I think you should go mi tv stick or google chrome cast.
These are recommended devices. These both have remote with them to access the device.
I am using mi tv stick. It costs about 10000-12000.
If you want I can show some pics of it.

Any lag issues?
Any heating of device issue?
How is the performance of the device?

I am using it from 8-9 months.
Really a good experience. No lagging at all and no heating issue. It heats a little bit just like a normal device.
I generally use it for YouTube or Netflix etc.
There is Google Voice command which is very responsive. There is typing option also.
You can download any other apps from play store.
There is mi tv also.

1GB RAM ia sufficient for smooth operation of the device?
And how many apps can be installed in storage?

There is 1 GB ram and 8GB storage.
It doesn't depends upon number of app it depends upon size of an app
I have installed 2 extra app round about 2 gb each. It doesn't lag even a single time.
If you want to install many apps then go for mi tv box
Same as tv stick with 2 gb ram and costs about 12000-13000.
