Fuel economy of slushboxes is highly dependent on driving style and traffic conditions - an 8th gen can easily return 15+ with A/C and passengers on highway drives under 110 km/h.
This car is very sensitive to throttle input - having a twitchy right foot (mindlessly stomping on the accelerator for no reason, and letting go), tanks the fuel economy. The transmission constantly locks and unlocks in such a situation.
I've personally achieved a max of 21 km/l on a 56 km drive with a 7th gen Prosmatec with a max speed of 80 km/h (no A/C). With A/C, cruising around 90-100 km/h, I've achieved a max of 18 km/l on a 90 km drive.
HPS is a very heavy duty system, better than than EPS - you just have to change the power steering fluid on time, and never turn it fully in either direction for more than 5 seconds.
