Salam Dear Members , I have bought a Vigo few days back. I want to install Arb Bullbars. Will I need to upgrade my suspension for that or can I do it without upgrading my suspension ?Your guidance will be highly appreciated.
ARB bullbars are quite heavy so front end will sag. You will have to at least change the springs.
What about 1 to 2 inch lift kit ?What I was thinking that is usually 5 to 6 persons sit in a car and each weights 80kg on average making total of almost 500kg. This bumper almost weights around 50kg. Then why do we have to use springs or lift kits ?
Because basic physics! The passengers are not seated on the extreme front nor rear end of the vehicle.
Will it be balanced by adding a 2 inch lift kit in the front suspension ? And what will the lift kit cost ? Any rough idea ?
Which ARB bullbar are you putting? I have original ARB springs you can use with your stock shocks which will support the weight of your bullbar. DM if interested.
for urban driving add such weight just for macho look is serious waste of monies.passengers are not part of vehicle body. They ride get off and repeat while such add-on are a constant addition to vehicle weight. Be prepared for suspension sagging issues every 15000 kms.
That's not gonna be a problem. Should I add a lift kit of an inch or two ?
how often would you be going off pavement terrain with full load & cabin loaded with passengers over vehicle .i.e 1.75 tons ?
if answer is never , you do not need any lift kit.
Maximum it will be loading to 1000 kgs and that too once in a blue moon . So I shouldn't consider it my need.
save your money for something good & better
Thanks a Lot everyone for your guidance
