Put the generator in a sort of a concrete cubical with a wooden door or a door made of any other suitable material so that you can go inside it to start the generator and then close it. Something like this with the top closed and only a little opening on the top to allow exhaust gases get out of it:

go for a special canopy . brother soundproofing dosent only means to cover the generators it should have vents for the air to pass through so it should remain cooled.

Technically speaking... it has one silencer but wat f v couple another silencer in series to the previous one?
use a Sound attenuated / Weather proof canopy as suggested earlier, and use proper rubber foundations for it.

though this is commonly used in PK people fail to realize that this setup will cause premature damage to the generator as it will run WAY too hot.
ideally a soundproof canopy must be made keeping airflow into consideration, but this is never cheap.
