Is United Bravo a replacement of Suzuki Mehran?

Brother, mainay bohat general c baat ki thi. I was expecting its price within 24-28 lac PKR bracket, like many others.

Yes, all are SUVs; DFSK SUV is 1.5L (Euro-SFG turbo-charged engine), Suzuki Vitara is a compact SUV 1.6L, Honda Vezel is a subcompact crossover SUV 1.5L, Toyota Fortuner is a mid-size SUV 2.7L and 2.8L and Honda BR-V is a mini SUV or subcompact crossover SUV 1.5L.

If DFSK SUV had been priced around Vezel or BRV (i.e. slightly more than BRV but nearing Vezel), it would had definitely been an instant hit but since its launch price is Rs. 32.5 Lac PKR, so many people may think of buying Vezel and BRV, which cost less than 32.5 Lac PKR and at the same time, Honda brands.

Yes, Fortuner is also there, but there is no comparison between the 02, in any way / means. They offer different things, even engine configurations (cc, power and specially torque figures for 2.8L diesel Fortuner) are totally different and as per my limited knowledge, DFSK Glory 580 SUV is not a ditto copy, or even a copy of Toyota Fortuner, so half the price thing does not apply here (Please correct me if I am wrong).

And regarding:

if they can launch their most higher end DFSK SUV and most lower end bikes 70cc at the half price of their japnees competitor (fortuner & cd70 bike) than why we shud expect the Bravo at equal or minor difference with its japnees competitor mehran?

Sir, bikes k case mein aesa chall sakta hai, but cars k case mein nai, especially when a car is not an exact, ditto copy of other car!

United US 70 costs 38,000 PKR ( https://www.pakwheels.com/bikes/united/us-70/ ) while Honda CD 70 costs 64,000 PKR ( https://www.pakwheels.com/bikes/honda/cd-70--3/ or https://www.atlashonda.com.pk/cd-70-red-2/ ), its a copy, and at 60% of the price of Honda CD 70.

Mehran VX Immobilizer costs 7.09 Lac PKR and Mehran VXR Immobilizer costs 7.62 Lac PKR ( https://www.paksuzuki.com.pk/SuzukiProducts/ProductDetails/20 ), their 60% prices are 4.25 Lac PKR and 4.57 Lac PKR respectively and this principle does not apply to Bravo!

United Bravo's LJ368QA engine is copy of Suzuki’s F8B engine found in the Mehran, but United Bravo is not altogether a copy of Suzki Mehran. Just engine is copy, otherwise, body, interior, exterior, features, etc. are altogether different as compared to Mehran. Bravo has many goodies to offer I.A.

The specs show that the DFSK Glory 580 can be considered as a poor man's Fortuner. It is way ahead of all the others you mentioned, and doesn't come in the same vehicle class. The only vehicle that shares a class with it is the Fortuner. But Fortuner is way too good for the Glory 580.

Cheap Body Part,
Resale Value. (Market).
Fuel Consumption.
Cheapest Brand New Car,

There is a need for Competitor to compute this 4 statement mindset instead of Mehran. Or if only they can force the government to pass a safety law for manufacturer like Suzuki who built car without Air Bag, ABS & other necessary safety features because in only road accident.25000 People died in Pakistan every month.

people want to too low for themselves doesnt mean automobile companies start selling them rickshaw with a remodelled body,
mehrans boyd parts are cheap because they are crap, the car itself is made from paper as it feels, the headlight is fairly the oldest ones, the rear view mirrors are the ones u get in a bicycle, the steering wheel is made from clay it feels, so they are not cheap, you replace them again and again so many times that you pay more with your pathetic mindset,

i disagree, i had mehran, i drove mehran, i asked too many owners of mehran, they all agree that when new it gives 18 km/l then it get to 13km/l that too without AC.,,
its the lowest priced car available in our market but its nowhere cheap, I wouldnt buy it for 1 lac and they are selling it for.. forget it..

competitor needs to tell people that they are here to stay in the market and that way only they will be coming with a realistic policy, i.e zotye launched the car without features at 11.72 lacs, on the contrary FAW V2 was launched cheaper and with features and more dealership support,.. It gives you the idea that who is there to stay in the market for long VS who just wanted to exploit the gaps in the market,...

united has the same engine, if the mechanic says he doesnt understand the mechanics of united bravo then he is just simply telling the opposite,,, thing which is different is the exterior /interior, the engine and the suspension...

No dear its not stupid to think about resale value. Unlike other countries in Pakistan cars are an expensive commodity and with the ever growing inflation, ordinary people like myself cannot just throw our money on new products without first looking at the return we will get after few years. After using a car like Mehran for certain period i can be sure of that if i sell it I will likely get a similar amount back minus some normal depreciation which can be added to our savings for another car. But saying that ordinary people can simply come over the loss of a new entrant is rather very naive because of the fact that one has to look at our resources. So this thinking is not stupid its simply the reality about most people's pocket which does not allow them and hence they tread carefully.

here is my problem with your opinion:
Car companies in pakistan has changed the view of people about cars
cars are the luxury mode of transportation and it varies for different people, for example in japan kei cars are for affordability and cheap maintenance plus they offer ease and luxury in killing price
on the other hand the cheapest car in pakistan cost exorbitant amount of money yes you know that already,,, i mean look at the meaning of car and luxury???? specially with mehran??? if your body have no problems you will surely get some while driving mehran which comes with the purpose of giving you pain off course with a leaf spring suspension.. the comfort you get in that piece of shamelessness is equal to the comfort provided in a rickshaw which also features the same leaf spring suspension,,, how on earth people in the right mind be ready to spend 7 or more lacs on a piece of blatant disrespect mehran? I mean to discuss all that to tell you that if car comes around 6 lacs plus with load full of features then its fair to give it a try out as its unfair to be shouting about resale when we get what we want rather than flushing our money down the toilet and buying products from a company who doesnt give a shhit about what you want and they are not going to change anything in it...
