A double line on the side of a road means your car should not be parked next to it. In this picture, they have double yellow on both sides of the road, so it means the car has to keep moving until it arrives at a free area for parking. Also, read here.

(Note that I have a Saudi Arabia, UK and Australia drivers licence, so my advise may not be valid in Pakistan).

One should have CNIC to get Learners Permit after completing 42 days you can give driving test and road sign test.

Applied for the permanent license from Mirpur, AJ&K. Never held the learner's license though. The signs were confusing. They took the driving test on our own Shogun, so cleared it. Will get the license after 10 days.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I too got my driver's license on the 29th of June. It was a very pleasant experience and the ITP personnel were cooperative and helpful. BTW I did have my old book type expired license so I was excused the class and was not required to get a learner permit :P. Been driving since 1985 so enough experience!

I know its an old post but i needed info so decided to ask here instead of opening a new thread.
Can somebody please tell me the timings of islamabad driving license branch F8. whether they are open on saturday? if yes, what are the timings? I couldn't find it on ITP website. Thank you.

These days, for 1-5 procedure, timings are upto 3 30 pm from Monday to Friday. Lunch break: 1:15 - 2:00 pm.

I am from Faisalabad just got learner and now preparing other docs for Car/Motor Cycle. During my medical test they found i am color blind. Hence this is not a major disability but the MO told me i am unfit for driving license so that's why now i am trying the other ways as usual for which these types of Laws are made in Pakistan. I just ask my a couple of friends from US they told me in case even if you are color blind you can get license in US for driving. The same applied in UK. I dont know who the hell is preparing the laws in Pakistan and these laws are even not in Developed countries. Really disappointed.
