@ All......Alhamdolilah another successful visit to the flood devastated areas of Nowshera and Charsadda.
Special thanks to Wahaj and his team, Umair bhai, Iqbal bhai, Ms Rabia, Dr Adnan, Khalid Shoaib and ZZ, Samad and his team and the entire IJC team. It was truely a team effort and it paid well.
PARS team comprising of Khalid Shoaib AP2MKS and Zakir Zaman AP2ZZ provided excellent support in radio com. A special repeater has been installed at Nowshera for round the clock connectivity regardless of cell phone range and free from Electricty failures.
There were five teams constituted by IJC this time;
Team one
Samad Khurram... went with Siraj Khan to cover a village beyond charsada know as Sholgara.. 45 houses destroyed with no shelter or regular food provision. Samad took along tents and Raw food for Langar. All the stuff was handed over successfuly and the langar initiated.
Team Two
Dr Adnan and Khalid Shoaib in FDO went to Amanpur. 25 houses were washed away in the flood. Ready made food packets were distributed successfuly.
Team Three
Dr Adnan second consignment with ready made food for 300 people left for a village called Achini in Charsada. Zohaib and Burhan carried out the distribution themselves and were able to join us by mid day.
Team Four
IJC, Roots system and Ibex.... went for intended target village of Pir sabak near risalpur. The convoy was very well received by the elders of the family. The items taken along were primarily for initiation of Langar for 500 people but then on the insistance of the elders of the family the same will be equally distributed amongest the residents and they will themselves cook it.
Team Five
IJC went to Pushtoon garhi to inspect the langar that was commissioned a week back. Everything was found in order. Further reinforcement in terms of food commodity was provided to the langar for another 15 days. 2 cooks and 1 nan bai were also hired.
By and large the entire event well satisfactorily. Reinforcement to these areas would be sent in the coming week.
