Assalam U Alaikum everyone,
I had recently got the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful places of Pakistan. I spent my childhood & teenage in Gilgit but had never thought of exploring the beauties of Nature in N.As. It was my long desire to re-visit the area as a tourist & see what I missed during my teenage. My brother who is already in Gilgit was also inviting me to spend this summer in Gilgit. So in short, I decided to take annual leaves & go to N.As. I would be sharing the travelogue in 4 parts & in 4 separate threads to make the pics more accessible as explained:
- Islamabad to Gilgit, Ghizar, Gupis, Phandar, Barswat, Langhar & back to gilgit after 3 day camping, hiking & fishing at Langhar. (Will cover in Part-1 i.e. this thread)
- Gilgit to Naltar Valley, visited 3 out of 4 beautifal lakes of Naltar & back to Gilgit. (Will be covering in Part-2)
- Gilgit to Baseen, Kargah Nullah & other outskirts of Gilgit (Will be covering in Part-2)
- Gilgit to Hunza, Attabad, Gulmit, Gojal, Sust & back to Gilgit (Will be covering in Part-3)
- Gilgit to Islamabad via, Lolusar, Naran, Kaghan etc (Will be covering in Part-4)
The journey started from Pirwadhai Adda Rawalpindi, when I left Islamabad on NATCO Bus for Gilgit on the afternoon of 4th June. Reached Gilgit in almost 24hrs i.e. on 5th June afternoon after a very tiresome journey. Left Gilgit for Langhar in early morning of 6th June with a team of 6 people from Brother's office & came back to Gilgit on 10th June.
