Assalam-o-Alikum,
I recently bought a Nissan Sunny 2005 with a swapped QG18de. The wiring was a mess and it had tons of phudu circuits. Plus when I did compression testing I got 130 psi +- 3 in each cylinder. After going through some forums I found a mechanic in Sultan ka kho who's specialized in Nissan and Mitsubishi.
So I took my car to him and he did a test drive and told me that the whole suspension needs to be changed. Plus he told me that the clutch had to be replaced as well. When he popped the hood he was shocked to see all the messy wiring. He told me that the engine seems okay and these compression testing tools are not accurate. So he suggested me instead of changing the engine, we should first try to redo the whole wiring. I agreed and left my car with him. After three days when I went back to get my car he had done all the suspension, gear and wiring. The engine bay looks pretty decent with all the wires in their own place. He charged me around 70k for all the work.
However there was still a problem. Whenever I turn on the AC the car stalls really bad and the RPM drops to a point where the car shut down. My mechanic tried everything to solve this issue but was unable to.
So I got fed up and decided to swap a QG16de. He charged me around 60k for whole swap including qabli radiator and condenser. It took two days for the whole swap. After the swap at least the car came in drivable condition with working AC. It has been two months and I'm facing a few issues with my car. I'm listing down all the issues and would really appreciate to get some help.
1. Whenever I parked my car after driving it for a while, I found a few gear oil drops underneath it.
2. My car starts misfiring after driving it for 20 to 30 minutes. It hesitates whenever I press the accelerator.
3. There is a strange thud noise coming when driving at slow speeds like tuk tuk tuk. Especially in first and second gear. It disappears when I go above 60.
There are a few other issues as well but these three are driving me nuts. My mechanic was unable to figure them out. He usually go for a hit and trial method which costs me a lot with all the issues still being there. I've totally spent around 180k on it and being a salaried individual this car is costing me a lot.
I would really appreciate if I could find some help. I know there are a lot of Nissan lovers on PakWheels.
Thanks in advance.
