Isuzu D-Max reviews and comparison to Revo

Starting this topic to discuss the new Isuzu DMax and it's comparison to Revo. Please give your inputs

I have owned a couple of vigos for last 10 years. I also kept a revo for a couple of months.

I test drove a DMAx recently. DMAX certainly has better drive.

One thing which was very noticeable about the few units of DMAX which were available at the dealership at that time, was the "BUILD QUALITY". It was way better than my vigo. Panel gaps were uniform. Paint finish excellent. Good rust proofing with no blank spots.Also, the fitting of mechanical parts including engine was of much better quality.

Thanks for you input. I own a Invincible and quite happy with it. Have drived Revo quite a lot only thing I dont like about it is ride is little more bumpy than Invincible and feels lighter than Invincible.
The price of DMax is very appealing. Only thoughts are after sale service in NA areas of Pakistan

You are right about after sales. In my personal opinion, DMAX is a better buy considering its price. DMAX has good reviews on international forums also. Only, question mark is the after sales and re-sale value of the vehicle.

Yes very ture.
New SUV for few years just need filters and oil which I believe wont be a problem.
Secondly they way new cars companies coming in and they stick here resale of this vehicles will be ok after few years

What's the price of the top of the line variant?

They've started local production(means it isn't going away anytime soon unless fails in long-term) so I believe after sales shouldn't be a problem for some time unless they've unskilled support staff at dealerships, resale will of-course take time to build up.

d max has much better rear space and seats than revo

but which is better overall can anyone share

From the different reviews it looks like Dmax is better..

D-max is up for a model change internationally as this shape has been for sale since ages I doubt the new shape will be coming to Pakistan anytime soon but if it does expect huge loss on old model. The interior looks ancient in it.

yes interior dosent look good but it has better side arms position from door sides and rear seats are much more comfortable for family then revo but dash is boring and no cruise control also

I own a 16 civic turbo, I test drove it last week here in Islamabad, I didn't like the drive at all, it felt very sluggish, little bumpy and its steering was very heavy. Also cabin noise was quite alot...not my cup of tea...

Cant compare a off roader with Civic. You are right it will be never your cup of tea

My dealership called to day. The guy said that we forget to tell you to get the tyre pressures adjusted as company keeps them over inflated (dont know why). So I checked, it was 42 in all four tyres. Reduced that to the manuals recommended 29 in front and 36 in rear wheels. Drive has improved after that considerably.

EPS and Cvt are a disease, if you drive any HPS and auto transmission car/suv one needs a week to adjust back to that feeling

Plz share your experience with Invincible, i feel it more appealing than Revo, it is bumpy.
How is drive of Invincible and what fuel average are you getting ?
How do you see invincible vs Dmax in driving pleasure ?

Haven't driven Dmax. Invincible gives stronger feel than Revo. Rest all double cabins are bumpy though Invincible little bit better

Isuzu does offer test drive for customers and would be helpful to analyse especially if you have driven the Hilux.

Granted it’s a pick up truck, but I’ve had almost everyone tell me that the ride quality is softer and smoother than a hilux.

Does anyone have an idea about the resale of ISUZU D-Max? After reading all the reviews, I really want to buy the D-Max instead of Revo and it will also save me a bunch of money but the one and only thing that is bothering me is the resale... I do not want this to be a stuck investment.

I know it is too early to discuss resale but if we know how much of these are being sold in the market then that would be a good guess of how well they are being received. I hardly see any in Lahore though.
