Isuzu Motors revealed the next-generation of its pick-up truck D-max V-cross in the Thailand market back in October 2019. Globally, it has been in production since 2011 that makes it 9 years old in the auto market. The all-new 2020 model of Isuzu D-max incorporates the infinite potential theme as the automaker has added premium styling elements to its pick-up truck on the outside and inside and equipped it with high-tech features. It will gradually enter other auto markets around the world in 2020 now.

Power train:
Under the hood, it’s powered with a newly developed
3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission which possesses more power than its predecessor. It offers a maximum output power of
188 hp and a maximum torque of
450 Nm.Exterior:
Isuzu D-max is now designed with a much bolder outlook through its reshaped front radiator grille, which has fang-like inserts. The headlights have also been changed to a much thinner design that comes along the all-new LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and revamped bumper shape. The twin-fog lights are also incorporated vertically. On the rear side, it’s provided with newly designed dual-square LED tail lights with a black outline reflecting a muscular shape of the vehicle. Moreover, it also has new stylish
alloy wheels and gets a comparatively
larger flat-bed on the rear side.




Interior:
Similarly, the interior of the pick-up truck of Isuzu gets several prominent changes that include a newly designed
multi-functional steering wheel, which is also equipped with different controls for the multi-info display and infotainment system. The instrument cluster of the vehicle is also completely revamped with a
4.2-inch digital display that features a
digital speedometer. Furthermore, the air-conditioning vents at the front have been reshaped as triangular by the auto manufacturer. There are also silver elements around the display area and the AC vents. In the previous model, there was a circular dial for the climate control system, which is not the case anymore. The
automatic climate control is provided with switches instead. It also has rear vents for air conditioning, which might be offered in only the high-end variant of the vehicle. The design language of the dashboard is also bolder than the previous model and features a central hexagonal element updated with a new touchscreen infotainment system in the middle. The system also supports
Android Auto and
Apple CarPlay, which is an additional connectivity feature. The Thai-spec model offers an entirely black interior with same-colored upholstery.

On the other hand, the Pakistani-spec current model of Isuzu D-max V-cross also comes under a 3.0-liter diesel engine based on both manual and automatic transmission. The manual version of D-max V-cross is priced at PKR 5 million, while the automatic variant is available in PKR 5.4 million in the local market. It’s a direct competitor of Toyota Revo in the local sector, but the introduction of the 2020 model will raise this competition to ma much great level.
