@hmak989, apologies for replying late. I won't comment on the Civic as I haven't driven that, but between Altis 1.8 and Vezel, the later wins hands down. My Vezel gives me 15km/l in city commuting with A/c all the time but I usually drive with single person in the car (that's me) 4-5 days a week.
As for the resale value of Vezel, I bought mine (2015 model, imported S grade i.e. 0 meter, driven 12,000 km at the time) in 30.5 back in February 2017 and a few days ago when I assessed the value, I was offered 2.8m on the phone without even seeing the vehicle. It's now driven about 26,000 km.
If you get a good condition Vezel in 3.2-3.4 million and keep it for 2-3 years and still have some juice left, I don't think there will be an astronomical decline in price.
By the way, have you researched about Honda Fit? same Earth Dreams Honda Vezel 1.5l engine with 1.0million rupees difference in price. Agreed that it isn't a cross over and between Aqua and Fit, Aqua probably has a better resale value, but Fit has a great drive.
