I've City -- Now Advice Economical in City and Long Route car in 10 lac budget

I from Karchi.
Last Year, My budget was about 8 lac and my daily running around 50km per day.

I read many articles from here and found that honda city idsi is best car.
So, I bought Honda city 2006 in Sept., 2018. with No CNG.

good car bad mileage.... in city just 8.5 with A/c and long about 11.5 with A/c...
I love this car but,

I did too many fixing for this car i.e. pressure plates, clutches, radiator, A/c etc etc...
uf ufffff.... to much issues.... due to old car i think... costly parts as I like to buy original parts.
Also, the average is too low...and i bear too much load on my pocket.

When I fix 1 issue, another raised.....I fedup for this.

Now come to the point, I will sale this car, even its working fine now... but, .... i think i have to buy another one.

So, Kindly advice me economical in City and good long route with family car in 10 lac budget .

My points are

1- My basic concerns are Economical and Long route.
2- I was oppost to cultus, but now, I am thinking Cultus 2015 is good, if it will give me 14KM. May I use CNG with it ???
3- I m thinking but not necessary, as I will invest 10 lac then the car should be Auto...due to drive in Karachi

Seems like you probably bought a car that was NOT maintained at all / you bought a bad car is haste.

You can always go for some japanese car, some say they give very good mileage while some say its just a myth. dont own any japansese so cant tell

i had a city idsi vario and it gives excellent fuel economy ,i used to get 14 with AC within city and 16 on long with avg speed 110 and ac.my car was 80k driven and i changed cvt fluid on 60k and all 8 spark plugs when i bought the car.you are getting 8.5 which is very very low for a city idsi

Stay away from Japanese samples except Passo. Go for Passo.

A car in 10 lac that doesn't spend time in workshop and has a 15+ avg would be hard to find. That too with AT. May be platz fit this description, but its at least 10 years old.

You need to have a good mechanic who can vet the car before u buy.

If u buy JDM 660 thats registered in khi, it might have been used in uber/careem. Local sedans in this range would be like city, unless u find one from a very reliable person.

So, Is it possible for you to increase your budget by 2 lacks at least? That way you can focus unregistered 660 JDM (CVT) or PKDM WagonR (manual)

Why Passo, wagon R, platz or cultus ????

Today, I met my friend. he has cultus...
usually He fill his CNG and use for 3 days for same 50 km per day cycle like me.

for me, I fill petrol tank for 1,575/- high octane and my car drives only 4 days just...
it is too much costly for me... High octane due to ,,, few days before my fuel pump was out of order and i changed it. also plugs, throttle body etc were fully dirty...

as I just serviced them 4 months before and now fuel pump issue raised....which i changed.

WagonR is very economical. It will give you around 15 in city. And it's maintenance is very cheap

I heard that Corolla 1.3 gives good mileage in CNG (I am Honda City User). also it has truck which is good enough.
From few days, I am digging regarding which car i have to buy which is fuel efficient for daily 60 KM drive.
like Honda city, Passo, Vitz, Corolla....

I couldn't find out an clean Honda city idsi till now. One I purhcased have issues in engine
Now I narrow my search to Corrolla due to ...

+ve points for corolla are

1- CNG
2- Parts cheaper than honda
3- parts easily available, either in city or in Village i.e. SWAT/Naran/Gilgit road too.
4- It has Trunk, Cultus doesn't have
5- Its a Highway car too.

Need informations :

1- Which models are successful in CNG
2- what is the fuel avarage in Petrol
3- what is the fuel avarage in CNG
4- What aboout Engine Overhaul, like in Honda City, we will change/swap its engine or can overhaul.
5- Suzuki Cultus and Corolla 1.3 CNG and Petrol consumptions are same ????
6- Cabin voice with comparision to Honda city idsi as honda city is mute while driving.
7- May I install CNG on GLI/Automatic too and what will be cng and petrol average ???

I need Fuel efficiency too, which CNG can give.
as I heard for Honda City, CNG can be installed till idsi or 2008 version only.

Brother, don’t get too much confused. It’s unavoidable but could be tackled.
If you want a warranty covered, low maintenance, less bells and whistles car, just but Pak Suzuki WagonR. The downside is that you will get tired during long hauls.
If you need more space, boot then your best bet is going to be a used 2007/2008 Corolla (Beat up Altis/ Decent GLi or XLi) in the range of 10 lacs. If you pull up to 11 lacs, even the 2008/2009 Corolla GLi or XLi could be bought. But then be ready to spend at least another 15-20 k for after-purchase initial maintenance.
You have to make the decision.

Have you taken a look at FAW V2? Might be what you are looking for. I am using a 2015 model, gives me 13-14 in city with AC, 16-17 on long with AC. It has a 1.3L engine which is good enough for long routes as well. It is spacious, and the boot is bigger than most hatchbacks. I know of at least one person who shifted from City i-DSi to V2, and is very happy.

I like both manual as well as auto too..
but, now, my main concern is fuel consumption.

Well in my opinion

Get a maintained citu idsi again, and if the city is actually maintained, then you will be the happy person on earth, i have used number of citys for number of years, and believe me i havent faced any problem ALHAMDULILLAH just periodic maintenence. Nothing else. Thats what a maintained city will treat you.
About mileage, in my view city is best 1300cc car regarding mileage, trunk, big car.

And you cant take workshops out from a car owners life, workshops and car owners are like , wo konsay daman ka sath wali kahawat hai ek.

Wohi.

Plus, you cant get everything in 10 lacs budget, there is always room for more.

What im saying is, if you just concerned about mileage, you have to skip something, like good ac.
I mean , then fo for cultus. Ac will be good in long routes, not in local.

If you are not concerned about mileage (that you are) go for swift.

But still you need everything, increase your budget, go for a maintened 2010onwards city.
