V8 is dead as we already knew.

3.5LV6 Twin Turbo, 409HP/ 650NM . 10 spd AT
3.3LV6 Twin Turbo Diesel , 305HP/700 NM. 10 spd AT.

A naturally aspirated V6 engine and 6 speed AT as base version will also be available later. No details yet.

At this engine size, the discount is small.

Hybrid is complex and it might take away the ruggedness of the land cruiser. Turbo will make it sensitive to fuel quality. They should give a good big diesel which is rugged and effortless offroader. But LC has become a luxury SUV starting from J100, so eventually such changes were bound to happen.

I have a feeling this design is a sort of "horrible in pics but good in reality" type. Thr front is actually good, the back belongs on a mitsubishi not a toyota. Atleast the dinosaur got updated the 200 series is well beyond it's age. Excited to see what the new LX looks like and then the now upcoming even more expensive though smaller LF

True. Motor journalists have been annoyingly crying about the 200 series over and over for being outdated.

Hope this LC lives up to everyone’s expectation for being a rugged offender while being reliable at all times.

Toyota has been testing this platform in australia since 2015 so that means it's gonna be no slouch offriad even if it looks like a pavement princess. I also hope it gets a panoramic sunroof cuz even basic crossovers have then now and all the land cruiser had was a single sunroof which wasn't even stabdard on most trims. I can't see the roof but those ridge near the rear hopefully suggest a reinforced roof with the option of a panoramic sunroof. No point in a car which can go everywhere but you still can't see the view you literally went to see in the first place

Rumours suggest the 200 Series' 4.5-litre twin-turbo diesel V8 will be replaced by a new 3.3-litre turbo-diesel engine, which will be a V6 developing 227kW and 687Nm – up 27kW and 37Nm over the V8.

A 309kW/587Nm twin-turbo petrol V6 is rumoured to be offered in other markets, while a hybrid LandCruiser model is slated to arrive in a few years' time.

Inside, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with satellite navigation will feature, along with a 7.0-inch instrument display, leather trim, and metallic switchgear.

The 12.3 inch is not standard. I've heard the standard is 9.0 inches ulgradable to 10 inches with higher trims having 10 standard upgradable to the 12.3

Ugh they still couldn't offer a panoramic sunroof. Other than that the car is definitely now up to date and is it me or is that third row considerably roomier.

I believe LC is built for offroad in mind with alot of rough and uneven terrain. Lot of body rigidity is needed and I think a Panoramic roof might be a hurdle to keep the required stiffness for the body although its body on frame. Again my opinion only .

I don't think a body on frame would have a problem with that. A range rover vogue keeps it's offroad worthiness while having a panoramic roof while being a unibody. But again the LC does edge it in stiffness and those roof ridges further that stiffness on the LC. I think the panoramic may probably have been reserved for the LX
