Reached the top after 45 minutes ...A few shops and Prayer place at the top of the hill

Ghaar-e-Hira is on the other side of the hill facing Haram...You have to go down from the top using very steep stairs downwards and then pass through a very narrow tunnel to reach the cave..

If you have read MHT's "Ghar-e-Hira main aik raat" , This is the sitting place of Bangali Baba just before the enterance of the narrow tunnel.. He wasn't there at the time I visited

The tunnel opens up in a small courtyard and the cave is on the opposite end..A look back towards the tunnels exit...

Ghar-e-Hira is not like other caves or i can say its not actually a cave...Three or four big slabs of stones at my right are leaning and staying on the wall of the ridge on the left making a natural shelter which is also closed from front with some big stones...Actually its not fully closed from the front aswell. there is a small space from which not an adult but a child can pass through the other end of the cave...

yes u shud go to Jabel-e-Saur. its abt 2 hrs hike. take alotof water with u coz in Makkah sun its a little tuf....
it is also the highest hill of Makkah Pak...

preferably go early after Fajar
