Do you think toyota will reduce Revo prices after the launch of this Jac T9 ????

Ghandhara Automobiles Limited (GAL) has introduced the locally assembled JAC T9 Hunter, a double-cabin pickup truck which will compete against established players like the Toyota Hilux and the lesser known Isuzu D-Max.

The JAC T9 Hunter is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine that produces 170 horsepower and 410 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 4x4 drivetrain with an automatic diff lock function.

The pickup truck comes equipped with a range of features, including a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a sunroof, a 360-degree camera system, and safety features such as multiple airbags, anti-lock brakes, and electronic stability control.

Gandhara is a dead company.

Gandharas history has been like that. They can't stick to one decent brand.

Nissan, Nissan UD, Nissan Deisel, Renault, Datsun, Cherry, have all been failures with Gandhara.

The group selling Isuzus is a different Gandhara.

They brought in JAC pickup trucks against Shehzore when Hyundai had not launched Porter in Pakistan.

Their history is no different then that off Dewan group.

They are famous to run away. And JAC is no different then their previous stories.

Stay away from them unless you have seen them stay alteasy 5 years with a single brand.

All over Asia you see Nissan and Mitsubishi along Suzuki, Toyota, Honda. It's because of Gandhara And Dewan that we don't have Nissan and Mitsubishi in Pakistan.

This product JAC Hunter is a under powered product. For a pickup truck you need Torque. It's way under powered then a Toyota Truck.

EDIT : DFSK, DONGFENG trucks are also another blunder by Gandhara who is not with them anymore. Another Chinese who isn't their partner anymore.

Ghareebon ka revolution title should goto Dmax or The older generations of Hilux. This is a toy not a Contendor.

JAC cannot compete with Koreans in the pickup market Toyota is miles apart.

Dealership in our city is claiming 50 plus bookings so far. Delivery month now has gone to May.

Currently, it's just a thread with a question asked by the OP. It's also pretty messy with random posts at the wrong places.

I don’t think it’s underpowered. 410Nm torque is not underpowered, don’t just go by 2.0 Liter size. Chinese turbos seem to be putting out great torque figures.

Remember Oshan x7?

It’s only 1.5 liter.

Still beats almost all Pakistani cars in 0-100 including revo n fortuner . Except only RS .

Also, it costs 87 lakh in South Africa = 600k Rand.

Like other Chinese players we are being sold stuff at a premium price 🥹 maybe duties.

But still a great price at 1 crore and should dampen Revo sales.

Remember nobody uses Revo in Pakistan for its actual purpose ie hauling large loads.

They just use for show off or light load like seating for body guards.

Perfectly fine for T9 Hunter.

Underpowered as in compared to Revo, these heavy bodies don't run on HP, torque matters to them. A 65hp Cultus and give hard time to a 2.7L liter Hilux in a quarter mile drag.

Chinese brands might be good, their local partners who want exorbitant profits kill the brands.

When ISUZU DMAX couldn't hurdle Hilux sales I doubt T9 is doing anything.

Yes it might capture a bit of Haval, Sonata, Civic RS or Even Corolla Cross market as you mentioned these pickups aren't used for the purpose.

Additionally they can't take the off road beating as Hiluxes do.
