whatever the case is, this is still not an appropriate way. First of all, these notices are to be given through newspapers so that the authorities can also come to know that whatever they are planning to do is going to cause harm to someone. In this particular case, instead of giving notice to potential buyers, it should be given to government. How can people trust word of some car dealers over what government is doing. Just because you cannot go on head to head with government doesnot give you a right to do all this drama. i dont know what is the real story behind this auction, but it is totally illogical that any one planning to purchase a jaguar will have to come to you to do so. Any one with money can get it imported without you guys getting involved.

Also i dont think there is any favouritism going on. If this so called notice contains any authenticity, people should be made aware in advance.

this is probably a legal document for the company, and also published else where, has any body double checked if its published or not? being on Pakwheels doesnt means its only here.

These cars obviously belong to Premium Motors and some greedy official probably wanted a bigger share of the cake and they probably refused. Hence most likely the auction.

I am with Premium Motors on this. If you guys owned a dealership, imported cars like this per routine and one fine day some stupid government official gets greedy and puts your cars into auction because you won't pay him his share-- what would you do?

Its good on their part to warn the public about the fact that these cars are in transport mode and they won't service them. They have every right to do this since these are THEIR cars which they have imported using THEIR investment. In other words the government has stolen them.

Thats a lot of money stuck in these cars, they are there for about a year, why didnt they go to any courts for justice ?

Let me clarify a few things here...

By making this topic sticky i didnt mean to validate anything or any statement made in here i just confirmed from @BUKSH that whatever written here are official words of PREMIUM/BUKSH MOTORS so by making it sticky i just clarified that these were their word no one else's so making it sticky doesn't validate the content by any means. Yes i used my connection with a fellow pakwheeler @Buksh to confirm the sorce of the content but by no means it shd be infered that i am validating the content of the message .

About keeping the post clean i meant once its clarified that wat the source was we shdnt waste time, energy and space on the thread to findout whtere the poster is related to premium/buksh motor so everybody is free to comment to watever they feel about the content of the post.

@jajukhan i have read all the posts above visited the link you mentioned the address of Cavalry Ground does not exists there of any of the dealers mentioned there,i highly doubt that you with your associates are interested in discouraging potential buyers to not go to the auction enabling you (might be) to get the cars at your price, all those links do mention dealers of Range Rover or Jaguar but no where is mentioned Buksh Motors or jajukhan so if you still presist to be a dealer of this brand at least you must have your own website(as you are not selling Tea Bags) you mind sharing it with us? and do one more thing paste a banner at the auction place mentioning all this surely you'll get the right answer and do send a notice to Pakistan Customs if these are stolen from UK then international diplomatic rules regarding this surely abide government of Pakistan to return these vehicles to original buyers.

these cars were to be cleared legally before but as yuou mentioned it seems that someones dirty hands tried to get into someone elses pockets,... i'm glad that this thread is started and that jag has decided to back up their dealers in PK by denying them service.

personally i think the right thing woudl have been to send the cars back to the plants and get them sent out here again,.. but this time without the interference of some government dog.

i'm getting real tired of the amount of greed these so-called leaders are displaying.

The poster, premium motors' has a right to refuse to service a vehicle not imported by them, call it monopoly or foul play this is common practice even in other parts of the world.

any way, my brother was at the auction and only one of them got sold at 1 crore 20 lacs. ( sorry cant recall which trim one it was)

Version of a custom official I talked with

The cars are being auctioned because duties were not paid on them . Adequate time period and various notices were given to the importer for payment of duties and other charges. Auction only takes place after certain formalities (such as notice and grace period) are completed and no one including the excise and taxation secy. can order auction of a car only because he feels like. If the importer completes all formalities including paying duties and taxes, even the president of Pakistan can't order an auction. Still if anyone feels that the importer's rights were ignored and he was subject to unjust treatment he/they should file a complaint in competent court of law

Furthermore, let me inform everyone who wishes to bid on the vehicles. They are being auctioned by the customs on "AS IS BASIS" meaning what you see is what you get.

You should ask yourself why would they say that... BECAUSE they don't have the keys for the cars !

So if you are the lucky winner of a beautiful Jag... Alas, you will never get the keys from us. So, you'll try to contact Jaguar at that point in time, where they will obediently decline you to issue you a new key because they VINS are black listed.

Oh and did I forget to mention, these cars only have KEYLESS entry system and push start... so you need an electronic key to get in and to start the engine.

Smart *** attitude won't do good for your cause. All members here would appreciate what is actually going on because there are some potential bidders here. Considering that buksh is an old and respected member, I am sure he wouldn't want PWelers to lose and All Pakwheelers would also not want any financial or reputational harm to buksh when he is right and and at the moral high ground. Therefore I would request you again to confirm what exatly is the case here? Is this about non payment of duties or as Cylestyne and Storm mentioned?
