My brother-in-law?s brother-in-law (Bilal) called me one evening in October 2015, and said that he wants to meet me; appointment was scheduled for the next day. He came and discussed with me that he has started job in a new tracker?s company as a Regional Sales manager, and they are giving out franchises with RS: 612,500 security deposits; the company will pay for franchise employees? salaries, and in return, the franchisee will pay for utility bills, office rent and nothing else. A team of 10 will be hired, and each member will be assigned target of 6 trackers per month, and RS: 9,500 commissions will be paid to the franchisee per tracker sale. So, that meant 60 trackers/month, times RS: 9,500 commissions = RS: 570,000/month income. Recently we had made a huge loss in our family?s poultry business, and the whole of Ramadan was spent praying, begging the Almighty for a profitable venture; soon I thought that the family?s prayers were answered. The next days was setup to visit the capital city, I took the deposit money and met the National Sales Manager.
The company office was situated on 4[SUP]th[/SUP] floor in Blue Area?s plaza, with 7-10 of young girls working with National Sales Manager. Bilal constantly whispered in my ears ??look at the corporate employee strength, one day people will be ?begging? you to sell them this franchise for RS: 6.0 million?? and that made sense to me. My younger brother accompanying me soon wanted a franchise of the company in Lahore. National Sales Manager soon jumped on the money to be deposited before we further discuss it. My brother went to the nearest bank and paid RS: 50,000 as a token money. The very next day was scheduled that National Sales Manager will be visiting my home city, and asked us to find an office in the city.
It took us 1 day, and National Sales Manager came to choose between the locations. Two girls were accompanying National Sales Manager, and 1 out of the 3 locations was chosen. One of the two girls was always with him along with her brother. I was asked by National Sales Manager to join the team?s training session to be held next Thursday at headquarters; I along with my younger brother gladly joined them. As soon as I entered the room, there were 30-40 newly hired employees, and at tea break I was introduced to my franchise office team. The team had Bilal?s cousins/relatives, and I was amazed that none had any sales experience nor were professionals. Soon Bilal was titled Baba-e-rozgar in his family, and his cousins/relatives continued to visit our franchise with resumes in hand. Almost none were sent home hopeless.
On the day of the training, the whole team were taken to the parking lot, and Bilal was given company maintained car as a surprise gift, with a promise from National Sales Manager, that Bilal soon will be given 0 meter Corrolla. That simply incremented our faith in the company. Inauguration dates were fixed, hall at PC was reserved, and soon relatives/in laws came to know about our franchises.
Bilalacalled in one evening and said that National Sales Manager had closed a deal with a government department, and 47 out of 52 sales will be granted to our franchise. That night seemed to never end as I was calculating almost every other minute on how I was getting closer to my dream i.e owning a mid 2000 landcruiser. Next day at the office, Bilal said that if I want these 47 trackers? sale, I will have to pay the company to import the trackers from abroad, since these government departments take 1 month to pay. I was given same employee?s account number whom accompanied National Sales Manager (the girl) and the money was transferred to her account. Two weeks later, I was offered Rawalpindi franchise at RS: 150,000 only and I couldn?t control my greed and transferred the money to the same employee?s account. National Sales Manager called in a week later and said that he has chosen an office location in Rawalpindi and was asking for deposit + dealer commission on urgent basis so that he could start hiring + training; and RS: 105,000 were transferred. Later I was asked that they need money for office furniture and LCD screens, and RS: 95,000 were transferred.
Soon the corporate had to face some rumours that National Sales Manager has had nikah with the employee that was always with him. I avoided these rumours due to the trust I had in National Sales Manager, and my dream car (SUV/Jeep) was waiting for me right at the next corner. A month was passed since the launch of the product, and employees were asked that they will get their salaries on 7[SUP]th[/SUP] December 2015. In the meantime, one candidate came for interview to the head office later at afternoon and started shouting in the office that National Sales Manager uses fake names, and back in 2007, he was indulged in a fraud where he worked, and ran away with people?s money and his salary. Employees present at the time were laid off right on that moment, National Sales Manager called all the franchises that he did background check of all the employees and x y and z happened to have fake background/ degrees. However, rumours spread in the company. I simply grabbed my contract with the company, and National Sales Manager?s name didn?t match his business card. It stated Mr. Malik Javed A Thaheem on the contract and Javed Akhtar Malick on his business card.
On Monday, all of the employees were waiting for their salaries; some had to pay their rents, other their tuition fees but National Sales Manager never showed up. Somehow I managed to get hold of Javed?s (National Sales Manager?s) Id card copy and his CNIC number is 36302-2324145-7, his name on CNIC is Javed Akhtar.
The game Javed Akhtar plays is, he gets closer to one of the female employees, ask people to transfer money to her account, makes employees to sign contracts etc on behalf of the company, and then flees the premises. This was at least his 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] time that He had a court marriage with one of the employees and ran away.
Kindly be careful on this man, and spread this message as much as possible. Every sister in this nation are like a sister to us, and we want to protect them.
