JDM Corolla X Fuel Efficiency

Owned JDM Corolla X model 2002, 1500cc, Automatic Transmission. NO CNG installed.

Well I have query related about mileage. My car giving me following milege in Petrol.

1. In city driving mileage 10.5KM/L

2. Long drive driving mileage 14.5KM/L giving in following speed, Tachometer hits at = 140-150KM/H)

So I have question about its fuel efficiency, is it ok with above mileage, because I have never owned before JDM car, so experience about it what mileage its give and previously I have Alto VXR 2011(AC on) which gives 19-20KM/L(PETROL) on long drive. So little tense about mileage of corolla car, is it taking more fuel or its ok with its given situation.

If its good at that position so ok, But if its NOT so Please tell me how to make it better to get more good mileage.

@huzaifa.haroon Well I am pushing accelerator very slow, and average speed is 40km/h in quetta due to high traffic and small road.

My Aunt also had Corolla X 2002 registered 2005 Navy Blue colour, 150,000+kms on odo used to give 11km/l in city (Hyderabad & Karachi) and on long run used to give 15.5-16km/l (Super Highway) though it was an abused car. Drive with light foot and drive slow. You will get a decent average according to the condition of your car. Clean air filter weekly and change engine oil after 3000kms or 3 months which ever comes first.

By the way how do you get 19-20km/l from Suzuki Alto? I am really curious about your statement. Please elaborate and explain. A good tuned Alto driven with very very light foot on highway manages to get not more than 13km/l!

@abbasaliabbasi Mine is 130,000+km used.... and air filter is cleaned and also oil changed at 3000kms....

I do remember about suzuki alto it was giving 19-20km/L .... may be its mileage was on cng.... sorry cant remember...

Go for throttle body service and use Leppon Air-Filter, Insha'Allah you'll get good average.

Offcourse using leppon air filter..... throttle body service needed?? or I have to go to replace spark plug and tune up engine

Which spark plugs you recommend? No timing belt indication appearing on odo meter.

regular maintanace(nothing out of the box like fancy sparks) and good driving habits will ensure a decent milleage,if your car is auto trans you are already getting what you can get,manuals beat everything when it comes to fuel efficiency

Btw my driving habits are good and decent. Regular maintenance is maintained but I want improve mileage thats why asking.
