My car is 2013 wagon R limited (full option except fog lights, traction control and heated seats) from first owner nothing else like grade or auction sheet etc. Car conditions seems excellent to eyes. I have traveled on it from Islamabad motorway to Lahore with a mileage of 23 km/ltr. No issue so far regarding speed but yes knocking is there and it is just a sound never feel any effect on pick or anything else. Not sure that i would say it exactly knocking or is it some other sound. Will share the engine sound in next post inshaAllah.

knocking is very bad for engine.
give complete details for your car here. model year, total mileage, grade , did you buy from 1st importer or 2nd hand ? if frist importer did you verify the auction sheet ?

also what engine oil did you use.

Also check your engine oil and transmission oil levels.

I'm not sure about the current custom duty and japan price , I bought my wagonR (not stingray) about a year ago . based on those estimates . a verified auction sheet grade 4 2014 model Stingray total price (on road everything paid) will lie in atleast 12lac+ .

Contact any of the importers here on forum like mycar.pk or DrUsman or huzaifa haroon .. personally they will give you a better and accurate estimate. you have to look or ask around forum for their contact. mycar.pk has website of same address their you will find the contact.

Please tell me the difference of security between a car with immobilizer key and a car with keyless entry. Is the the car with keyless entry also have rfid chip installed?

yes these cars have advanced rfid chip systems or immobilizers .. on technical level they are different technologies but overall their function is same. unless key with that exact chip is not inserted or inside car the car wont start. and that chip etc cannot be duplicated. if car is not in ignition and is not started, the steering jammed if rotated more than 60-90 degree and will not un-jam unless the key is inserted. the security features of jdm cars is well beyond the reach of local thieves. even if they break the glass and get inside car, its absolutely impossible for them to start it up.

bottom line is , you can be pretty sure your car cannot be stolen by thieves of pakistan, its almost impossible for them. unless they pick it up with car picker and drive away with it

Recently bought WagonR Limited (2014). After estimating from Fuel Consumption with respect to distance covered (From Full Tank to Half Tank), Amazingly, its giving 28 Km/L fuel average, And on speedometer its showing 25 Km/L. I am attaching a 4-days old picture when it get started blowing my mind.

Note: I always use soft paddle and the green/blue lights of speedometer helps me to always stay in economical mode.

but your calculation as i understand is based on assumption of how much fuel has been consumed from full to half tank indication.
To get the most accurate fuel avg , follow these steps :
1. get tank full and ask him not to over fill it just leave it where it cuts off automatically.
2. reset your trip A meter to zero
3. drive around till like 20-10% tank is left
4. refilll again as in step 1 , and divide the total kms in trip A with petrol in litre that filled in 2nd fill . that will give you the most accurate fuel avg

saying all that the avg is almost never too far from the avg shown by the digital meter. like i get 21-22 km/l avg in city lahore. and the avg meter also shows between 21-23 .

Recently gone to Lahore from Islamabad by Motorway on my wagon R 2013 model, 2016 import. Calculated milage was 23 km/ltr while going from islamabad to Lahore and 21 km/ltr while coming back from Lahore to Islamabad, ac was ON throughout although at temperature 24 oC. No problem while crossing Kalarkahar. Speed mostly 90 to 100 (70 %) and 120 during 30%. Enjoyed new ride a lot. Although my car has a continuous knocking sound problem but no issue while driving, or in fuel consumption or speed. everything worked fine.

Ma sha Allah that is very good average. based on that we can presume that you have not been victim of dhokay baaz dealers who sell accidental R or A grade cars which they repair locally and sell them saying its 4 grade. and then they give avg like 10-12km/L .. and then the buyer says that JDMs are crap ..

but as I said knocking is very bad for engine health and life. Just take it to any good workshop and atleast get it checked whether the sound is actually engine knocking or something else.

pehli baat to ke JDM car ke factory fitted keyless locks itni asaani se detect/hack nhi hotay ..
aur jaisa ke maine pehle kaha ke agar kisi tarah wo lock khol bhi lain , ya khirki ka sheesha torr ke khol lain , yo unless un ke paas exact aap ki gari ki rfid chip wali key nahi ho gi wo start nhi kar sakte .. har chip unique hai aur duplicate or hack karna is impossible.

ab agar owner spare key car ke ander chorr jaye ga to wo to khud daawat de raha hai ke aao meri car churao

in this Audio Knocking sound is low as it is on idle rpm. Please suggest that whether it is knocking sound or some other sound.? Especially @aliadnan1984, i must appreciate your contribution in helping people, jazakAllah.

I have option of getting a Stingray X and Wagon R FX Limited 2012.
Whats the difference in these 2 models and which is preferred for in city drive?

Both are great cars .stringray is on higher side with turbo charge, fog lights etc. Stringray milage will be slightly lower due to turbo feature.

Thanks for the response.

I'm confused as to get a new PKDM Wagon R or a used Japanese one.

JDM provides features while PKDM has some peace of mind due to new car.

Also can someone enlighten on differences in various variants of JDM Wagon R available in our market.
