Went to a mechanic in RawalPindi yesterday to get install spacers in Passo, X 2012. As i was not able to avoid passengers at back seat and travelling on a bumpy road. The Mechanic refused to do so, .
[I]According to him :

Passo 2012 has more ground clearance than Passo 2013 and 2014, and than Prius, Vitz.
Spacers will reduce road grip, which is already less in this car at high speeds.
Not much damage without spacers, only scratches type on silencer.
His suggestion was to install bigger tire size, which will also help in better road grip. And there will be minor effects on suspension, also after a long time.

Every 2nd prius has or is getting spacers.ut cannot cross a simple speed breaker otherwise.question is who is installing n wats the size of spacer....

He is very right, get 14inch wheels with bigger tires like 175 or 165

And if you are having lot of trouble of road clearance bec of bad area roads and heavy load in car then put 15inch wheels with suitable tires ur road clearance prob will go forever without effective road grip.

he is right!!!!! spacers will ruin the joy ride of Passo bigger tires can help u a little bit change rims to 14" if ur using 13"

try crossing speed breaker diagonally when 4 passengers loaded
if it still scratches, judge if its hitting the cars floor or just a mild scratch sound
for a scracth 1/2 inch might do
if the car floor hits the bump 1" probably

p.s bigger rims and tires will effect car economy....use 34 pounds tire pressure (my passo has same size tires)
