AoA everyone. Hope you all are fine. Recently I have noticed this wierd sound of 'krr krr krr krr'
on idle coming from the engine in the interior when all the doors and windows are closed. Got it checked from a mechanic and he said "ye awaz tappet Mai sai arahi hai" and suggested using 10w30. Now oil change is due and had plans using LM 5w30. Currently using shell helix 5w30. So my question is should I change to 10w40 or stick with 5w30 and use better oil. Current mileage is 11k

I am feeling the same sound after pouring ZIC. My suggestion is try LM 5w30 and you will feel difference. I'll also go for LM next time.

11,000 km is odo reading. I've hardly done 2.5k Kms on shell helix and this sound started coming when I had doneb900-1000 km on this oil and it is still present

11,000 km is odo reading. I've hardly done 2.5k Kms on shell helix and this sound started coming when I had doneb900-1000 km on this oil and it is still present

It's more of a vibration sound than krr krr

Dear,

I'm not that expert but try to do one thing.
Try to jump start the car. Connect cables with other car and then jump start. Sometimes battery is drained below threshold car will take self but won't start.

No idea bro... Never happened to me... If car is taking self, then battery must be ok... Show to some mechanic...

maybe u got fake oil or car does not liking Shell oil. Shift to another brand.

you have knocked off some sensor while checking stuff under hood
please check all sensors are fully plugged in

there was someone mentioned drop in mileage after getting zic A+
technically a thinner oil means better mileage
but i noticed the same issue of mileage drop in my car as well. Annoying!

Now car is fine. It was battery issue. I never checked Water in battery even I didn't know the car doesn't have dry battery. Water level was very low.

@hash4u I too felt drop in milleage after pouring zic A+ and the car's noise has also been increased. Just after the oil change, car was giving good performance Intially I got 19-20 but now its not giving more than 16 km/l.

Couldn't get LM 5w30 due to shortage in market in Rwp and peshawar... so bought Moly Green 5w30 Japanese Rs.3400 for 4 L... AnD it is equally good... same mileage... no extra noise frm engine... smooth pick... no MoS2 added this time...

i recently bought a 2015 passo. everything was going very well til yesterday. i parked my car after 2 kilometers drive in morning. when i had to start the car there just sound of click click.. then i managed to jump start it. i went to battery shop and they told me that one of the cells are dead. i replaced the battery but now ecoidle thing isnt working. eco idle off light id blinking continuously. moreover my dvd player also stopped working. reverse camera isnt working as well.
help in this regard is required.

Seems like some fuse are blown. Check fuse box under the hood and above glove box.
