the battery in passo which comes from Jp is flooded one, its specs are 42B1NL, incase it dies, the experts recommend using a sealed maintenance free battery. I used Hankook with same specs, Here are some battery costs i got from market, sharing for the benefit of readers

Different brands available:
Imported
APC, Nerada, Vision, Shoto, CSB
cost around 8000 to 12000pkr

local:
Hankook, Daewoo, Solite, Tujiko, phoenix.
cost around 4500 to 7000 pkr

On changing battery in Passo:

before removing battery, use jumper wire with a secondary battery to keep ECU powered while removing or changing main battery, because if you remove the battery regular way, it will reset the ECU, which will forget lot of learnt things, effect mileage, and also may lock your multimedia in case u have NSCP-WXX series or later version multimedia.

The autostop / start-stop / smart-stop icon in your meter may start flashing, and not properly return to its green state, nor will the pressing of auto-stop button have any effect to correct the problem. In that case you will have perform battery learning / initialization procedure. The proper way to do it is:

1. Put the ignition in ON mode (not starting the engine)
2. long press the auto-stop button for 10 seconds, it will turn off the flashing amber light in meter.
3. remove the key.
4. start the engine and within 5 seconds, push the auto-start button for 3 seconds.
5. The auto-stop icon will turn green.
6. turn off the engine.

Clip the secondary 12v battery jumpers to the wires on the passo main battery (keeping the nut part clear so that u may open n tighten the nut), that way the veh will remain powered while u can remove/replace passo main battery.

Dear Naeem sb, Thanks 4 sharing image; but for my understanding could u please elaborate how would that b effective, as i thought the steering can autolock when key removed and steering turned a bit.

Which battery did u select for yourself...???

The battery in my car now is Hankook, ... if i was on will to choose, i would hv gone for narada or apc.

As its been few days since i got veh so dealer had the courtesy in assisting by 50% contribution to the new battery chosen from his designated battery shop, and there were only hankook, daewoo, Tujiko, phoenix n others. According to him hankook was foriegn and packed locally (which i less believe to b foreign) and rest were all local, hence hankook chosen.

A mechanical duplicate key can do the job easily, so it`s an extra lock, which is without any key and works with code only.

Brother problem is not with the oil, problem is with your car's engine, it is consuming oil, means it require maintenance... Plz get it checked from some good engine mechanic and proceed accordingly....

Toyota Oil and Air Filters : Rs 2150/= , Sorry i forget prices separately. (1450+700) i think.
Brake Pads Toyota = Rs 5000
